Rumours linking Mauro Icardi to Serie A rivals Napoli continue to swirl after the Inter Milan captain was absent during the side's preseason defeat to Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday.
Inter coach Roberto Mancini remained coy when asked of Icardi's potential trade following the Italian club's 3-1 loss to PSG in the International Champions Cup.
"As for whether Icardi is not for sale, you'll have to ask the president," Mancini said when questioned post-match.
Icardi is under contract until 2019, but reports say that he already been identified as a potential replacement fellow Argentinian Gonzalo Higuain, who is on the verge of joining Juventus.
Questions are also being asked of Lazio midfielder Antonio Candreva's reported move from Rome to Milan.
"Do we need Candreva to strengthen the squad? Again, this is a question for the president," added Mancini, whose team lost out to Serge Aurier's brace and Layvin Kurzawa's free-kick. Stevan Jovetic scored from the spot for the Italian side.
Mancini's future is also under question with the coach said to be unhappy with the club's activity in the transfer market. But the former Manchester City coach gave nothing away after meeting with Inter president Erick Thohir.
"There's nothing to say about it. The situation is normal, just like two days ago," Mancini said.
"Nothing has changed, let's see what happens in the next few days."
