Roma's Juan Jesus bids emotional Inter Milan farewell

Juan Jesus has bid farewell to Inter Milan after arriving in Roma's preseason training camp in Pinzolo on Wednesday evening.

The Brazilian defender is set to complete a move from the Nerazzurri to the Giallorossi after completing a medical, and he has already bid farewell to his former teammates and fans after making the short move from one training camp to the other in northern Italy.

"Hello everybody, I would like to thank every single person I've met these years, my teammates and the coaches," he said in an emotional video on his Facebook page. "I would like to thank everybody at the club, the friends I made here. It's difficult for me as, sadly, I have to leave, but I will always have a place for you in my heart.

"I'm staying in Italy so I'll still be close to everybody. It's difficult, but I truly thank all the fans, everybody who has supported me in these years here. There are so many people I need to thank."

Juan Jesus named a long list of people -- including kitmen, coaches, doctors and backroom staff -- before saying his final farewell, all while wearing an Inter shirt for one last time.

"I leave you with a big hug," he said. "Wherever I go, you will always be with me as you are my family. I've grown here and learnt everything here. You will always be my first family."

Juan Jesus, 25, made over 100 appearances for Inter in Serie A, although he was no longer a regular starter for the club under Roberto Mancini last season, when he featured just 19 times.

At Roma, he will fill the void left by the loan departure of Leandro Castan to Sampdoria, with coach Lucano Spalletti stating at the start of preseason that he needs more cover in defence.
