Stevan Jovetic says he is the man Inter Milan can count on to help them beat Juventus in this weekend's big match in Serie A.

The Nerazzurri can move 11 points clear of their arch rivals with victory at the San Siro on Sunday night and the Montenegrin is desperate to celebrate his first win over the Old Lady in a competitive fixture and take an important -- but not decisive -- step further away from their opponents.

"It wouldn't be decisive because they're still strong and there are a lot of games left for them to get back into the hunt, but it would be a crucial step for us," Jovetic told Tuttosport. "When you beat big clubs, it reinforces your self-confidence. I learned to play in a big club at Manchester City and now I want to win the Scudetto with Inter."

Jovetic made his Serie A debut against Juve in 2008.

"How could I forget it," he said. "We were losing 1-0 and I came on and Gila [Alberto Gilardino], from a [Giampaolo] Pazzini assist, scored a great goal. Even here the expectations are high [like they were at Fiorentina]. It's the Derby d'Italia and there is no love lost between the fans. Interisti are asking us to win it, and we hope to oblige."

"I'm not reading anything into [talk of a Juve crisis]. Things like that don't mean a thing in derby matches, while just look at how Juve are doing in the Champions League. We're preparing ourselves to face the Juve of the Champions League, but if the other one comes along then it's even better for us.

"Juve are still a great side and I'm sure they will rise soon. Let's just hope it starts next week."
