Inter sign midfielder Jonathan Biabiany for four years

Inter Milan have signed former Parma midfielder Jonathan Biabiany on a four-year contract, the Serie A side have announced.

Biabiany, who began his career with Inter eight years ago, has put pen to paper on a deal that will see him remain at the San Siro until the summer of 2019.

"Inter are pleased to announce that French forward Jonathan Biabiany has signed a four-year contract with the club," a statement on the club's official website read.

Biabiany appeared on the brink of moving to Inter's city rivals AC Milan last summer until a heart issue ruled out any potential transfer.

After being diagnosed with an irregular heartbeat, Biabiany terminated his contract with Parma in April, but is now ready to resume his career and help Roberto Mancini's side improve on last season's eighth-placed league finish.

The former France Under-21 winger made just 19 appearances for Inter in his first stint with the club and spent time on loan at Chievo, Modena and Parma before signing for Sampdoria in January 2011.

Biabiany spent just five months in Genoa before returning to Parma on loan before joining the Emilia-Romagna club permanently in the summer of 2012.
