Spain have dropped out of the top 10 in FIFA's world rankings for the first time since 2007.
The World Cup holders -- who crashed out of the competition in the group stages last summer -- are 11th on the list, released by world football's governing body on Thursday.
Spain, the defending European champions, are deposed from an otherwise unchanged top 10 by Italy.
World Cup-winners Germany remain at the pinnacle of the rankings, based on results over the last four years, with Argentina, Colombia, Belgium and Netherlands behind them.

Meanwhile, England have dropped down the order for a second consecutive month, falling to 17th place with Romania and Czech Republic now in front of them.
The fall, which follows a disastrous World Cup for Roy Hodgson's side, comes despite wins in all four of their Euro 2016 qualifiers so far.
Jurgen Klinsmann's U.S. team are down one place -- now 32nd in the rankings -- while Algeria, at 18th, are the highest-placed African team.
Meanwhile, Romania's rise to No. 14 means they could be seeded when European qualifying groups for the 2018 World Cup are drawn in July.
