Algeria edge Guinea in international friendly

Algeria kicked off preparations for the 2019 African Nations Cup qualifiers with a 2-1 friendly victory over Guinea at Stade Mustapha Tchaker on Tuesday.

Sofiane Hanni put the Desert Foxes into the lead before the half-time break but Aboubacar Demba Camara pulled Guinea level just before the hour-mark.

Hillel El Arabi Soudani would have the final say though, netting in the 78th minute for the North African side.

Algeria take on Togo in their first Nations Cup qualifier on Sunday, 11 June while Guinea have a tough-looking trip to Ivory Coast on Saturday in their first away qualifier.
