Jamie Vardy and Jesse Lingard set to start for England vs. Spain - reports

Jamie Vardy, Jesse Lingard and Nathaniel Clyne will come into the England team for Tuesday's international friendly against Spain, according to widespread reports in the British press.

Interim coach Gareth Southgate will make three changes following Friday's 3-0 World Cup qualifying win over Scotland, with captain Wayne Rooney already having returned to Manchester United due to a minor knee issue.

Kyle Walker and Daniel Sturridge will drop to the bench after their pivotal role -- it was the Spurs defender who set up the Liverpool striker for the opener -- against Scotland, while it has already been confirmed that Jordan Henderson will take over as skipper for the evening.

Southgate, who is set to be offered the England job on a permanent boss, is expected to stick with the same 4-2-3-1 formation deployed against the Scots.

Phil Jagielka, Jack Wilshere, Theo Walcott, Andros Townsend and Marcus Rashford are the other outfield players who will have to be content with a place on the bench, along with goalkeepers Tom Heaton and Jordan Pickford.

Harry Kane has been released back to Tottenham Hotspur to work on his fitness.

England (probable): Hart, Clyne, Cahill, Stones, Rose, Dier, Henderson, Sterling, Lallana, Lingard, Vardy.
