The United States will face Peru in a friendly in September in Washington, D.C., U.S. Soccer announced on Wednesday.
RFK Stadium will host the U.S. on Sept. 4 at 7 p.m. for the 23rd time, the most of any venue.
The nations have not met since 2000, when the U.S. won 1-0 in Miami.
The game could see the return to the national team of first-choice goalkeeper Tim Howard, who has said he is targeting a September return after taking a year off from international duty.
Tickets go on sale on July 13.
