Felda United track Bali United's Dutch striker Sylvano Comvalius

Terens Puhiri turned on the jets as he outran nearly everyone on the opposing team in the Indonesian first division.

Malaysia's Felda United are interested in Dutch striker Sylvano Comvalius who has set Indonesian football alight this season.

Bali United say they're determined not to be distracted from their march towards the Liga 1 title, despite seeing the 30-year-old become one of Southeast Asian's football's hottest properties.

Comvalius has scored an amazing 35 goals in only 30 league games this season to sit on top of the charts, helping Bali move into pole position in the title race with just one game left to play. He set up the winner in Monday's 1-0 victory over rivals PSM Makassar.

Bali officials have tried to dismiss the reports as an attempts to unsettle the player and team in the final days of the title race. But head coach Widodo Putra has indicated that he will not stand in the player's way if he wishes to make the trip north.

"We do not want to hold on to players who do not want to be in the club," Widodo said.

"If it happens that a player wants to leave, then this is okay, it is part and parcel of the professional game."

The rumours reached new heights before Bali United's late win away to PSM on Monday.

PSM's Dutch coach Robert Alberts told reporters that representatives from the Malaysian team had come to watch the powerful frontman.

"It's true that Felda United are are looking at Comvalius from Bali United," Alberts said ahead of the crucial clash, according to Indonesia news agency Antara.

"They want to see Comvalius."

Alberts, who has coached Malaysian clubs Kedah and Sarawak and Singapore's Home United, says Comvalius deserves his "most-wanted" tag.

"Comvalius is a good player, strong and able to score goals so it's no wonder many teams are interested in his services," Alberts said.

Felda officials will certainly have seen plenty of passion. Comvalius was involved in an altercation with his own teammate during the crucial win.

Just before half-time, the Dutchman pushed and shoved Lilipaly after he felt the midfielder had failed to pass. The pair had to be separated by teammates.

The hatchet was buried and in the dying seconds, Comvalius passed for Lilipaly to score the only goal of the game, and one that could win the title for Bali United.

Lilipaly, subsequently talking to local media, dismissed the incident as a matter of emotions running high during a high-pressure game.
