ISL 3 to kick off in Guwahati on October 1

The opening match of the third season of the Indian Super League (ISL) will be held at the Indira Gandhi Stadium in Guwahati on October 1. The season-opener will see hosts NorthEast United FC taking on Kerala Blasters FC, the 2014 finalists.

The league stages of ISL 3 will feature 56 matches played over a span of 65 days. The last league fixture will be between Kerala Blasters and NorthEast United in Kochi on December 4.

The two-legged semi-finals will be played between December 10 and December 14, while the final will take place on December 18. The venue for the final is yet to be finalised.

Two teams will play in a new stadium as their home ground this season. Atletico de Kolkata, the 2014 champion, will play their matches at the Rabindra Sarobar Stadium, while Mumbai City will host their home games at the Mumbai Football Arena in Andheri.

Defending champions Chennaiyin FC will begin their campaign away to Atletico de Kolkata on October 2 in Kolkata.
