Ryan Mason and Sam Clucas will miss Hull City's EFL Cup quarterfinal against Newcastle.
Mason has not recovered from the illness which forced him off at half-time during Saturday's 1-1 draw with West Bromwich Albion.
While Clucas is suspended after collecting his fifth yellow card of the season in the same game.
Tigers head coach Mike Phelan could hand defender Andrew Robertson and striker Adama Diomande starts after the pair were second-half substitutes against the Baggies following their returns from injury and suspension respectively.
