Hull's Robert Snodgrass out for a month with ankle ligament injury

Hull City midfielder Robert Snodgrass has been ruled out for up to four weeks with an ankle injury.

Snodgrass, 29, sustained the injury during Hull's 2-0 Premier League defeat to Stoke City on Saturday and left the KCOM Stadium in a protective boot and on crutches.

The Tigers confirmed on Tuesday that the Scotland international now faces a month on the sidelines after undergoing scans on his ankle.

Snodgrass is set to be ruled out of Hull's EFL Cup clash with Bristol City as well as Premier League matches with Watford, Southampton and Sunderland.

He will also be absent when Scotland look to kickstart their World Cup qualifying campaign against England on Nov. 11.

Information from the Press Association was used in this report.
