Hull's Corry Evans joins Blackburn

Hull have sold Northern Ireland international Corry Evans to Blackburn for an undisclosed amount.

Corry Evans has left Hull
Corry Evans is a Northern Ireland international along with his brother, Man Utd defender Jonny.

He is the second midfielder City have allowed to sign for the Championship club in as many days, following on from Tom Cairney’s loan move to Rovers.

Evans, who joined Hull from Manchester United – where his brother Jonny still plays - in 2011, has signed a three-year deal at Ewood Park.

His departure increases the likelihood that Hull manager Steve Bruce will look to strengthen his midfield before the season starts.

Although Bruce has made eight signings, none is an out-and-out central midfielder and the former Birmingham, Wigan and Sunderland manager has expressed an interest in taking Stoke’s Wilson Palacios on loan.

Evans made 36 appearances for Hull last season as he helped them win promotion to the Premier League.

Blackburn turned their attentions to Evans and Cairney after being frustrated in their attempts to sign Barry Bannan from Aston Villa.
