Antoine Kombouare revealed he had no hesitation in joining Guingamp after being unveiled as the club's new head coach on a three-year contract on Wednesday.
Kombouare, whose appointment was announced on Monday, replaces Jocelyn Gourvennec, who departed on Friday for Bordeaux having won two promotions to reach Ligue 1 in a successful six-year stint with the Brittany club.

Quoted in L'Equipe after being presented to the press on Wednesday, former Paris Saint-Germain, Valenciennes and Lens boss Kombouare said: "It happened very quickly. I sensed motivated people -- a president who found the words to make me come.
"Before Guingamp, I had other proposals and discussions were well advanced, but it did not happen. But that's ancient history. From the first phone call [with club president Bertrand Desplat last Friday], I had a positive feeling. I have no agent, and when there is a feeling, I go. It was the same when I went to Lens.
"The ambition is to continue the work of Jocelyn, because he did a great job. I have to focus and work hard, with humility and ambition."
