Mats Hummels is ready for his comeback against Poland, the Germany defender told reporters following the 2-0 win against Ukraine on Sunday.
Hummels, 27, has been sidelined with a muscle injury since May 21, when he was substituted in Borussia Dortmund's cup defeat against his future club Bayern Munich.
The centre-back resumed training at the weekend, but was left out of the line-up for the victory over Ukraine.
When asked by reporters in post-match interviews if he could take part in the next group match against Poland on Thursday, Hummels replied: "For sure."
The 2014 World Cup winner added: "It looks good. There has been no setback. But the coach has to decide if I'll play. I am very relaxed about it."
In Hummels' absence, Valencia defender Shkodran Mustafi played next to Jerome Boateng, Germany's defensive leader, and the 24-year-old opened his account for the national team with a 19th minute header.
"He headed us to our win, and defended great," Hummels said. "He's an outstanding defender and did a really good job."
