DFB to release film on Germany's 2014 World Cup-winning campaign

Germany beat Argentina in the final to win the 2014 World Cup.

The German Football Association (DFB) is set to release a 90-minute film about the nation's 2014 World Cup win called "Die Mannschaft."

"Die Mannschaft" will show Germany's entire campaign -- from their pre-tournament training camp in South Tyrol to the final in Rio de Janeiro and the squad's celebrations in Berlin.

The film will also include private footage shot by players, coaches and staff members, including from directly after the final win over Argentina and during the celebrations that night.

"Through that movie, we try to get across the emotions on the pitch, inside the World Cup base [Campo Bahia] and in the squad," Germany general manager Oliver Bierhoff said on the DFB's official website.

"We hope to bring back the World Cup to the memories of our fans towards the end of the year. And to show another perspective on how Die Mannschaft has perceived the tournament and lived it. And of course, we'll also show some goals."

Bierhoff added: "When I was abroad, it was always about Die Mannschaft. I told Uli Voigt [DFB director] right from the beginning it should be filmed as if we were to be the next World Cup winners."

"Die Mannschaft" is to be premiered in Berlin on Nov. 10, and will then hit cinemas before being shown on TV in December.

The DFB are also set to release a book about the final win with pictures from Paul Ripke called "One Night in Rio."
