Jurgen Klopp comment was 'not OK,' Wolfsburg boss Dieter Hecking says

Wolfsburg coach Dieter Hecking has hit back at Jurgen Klopp's claim that Borussia Dortmund fans will dominate the Olympiastadion during the DFB Pokal final, saying: "Some people like to talk big."

Dortmund will meet Wolfsburg in the cup final on Saturday May 30 in Berlin, and Klopp -- who will be taking charge of BVB for the final time -- said he expected his club's fans to paint the stadium in BVB colours.

Wolfsburg are owned by Volkswagen and many of the club's supporters work in the German car manufacturer's Audostadt plants, and Klopp had said: "The stadium will mainly be yellow unless VW allows the whole plant a free day."

The Dortmund coach was referring to remarks by former Wolfsburg player Holger Ballwanz -- now a fan liaison officer for the club -- who had said VW workers had not been able to attend the recent Europa League clash at home to Napoli, which had kicked off at 9.05 p.m. local time.

"The kick-off time is a bit unfortunate -- basically all three shifts are affected by it," Ballwanz had told local paper Wolfsburger Allgemeine. "Those working the last shift can't do it, and the same applies to the night shift.

"Those working the morning shift the next day have to travel a bit after the match to get home, so it's bad for them as well. And most of the holidays have been already used up for other games."

Hecking told reporters in Wolfsburg on Thursday that Klopp's comments had been disrespectful.

"Some people like to talk big, but not me," he said. "The statement is not OK towards the club and the city."

Dortmund expect around 300,000 supporters to apply for tickets for the final, with Wolfsburg supporters set to request significantly fewer.

However, both groups of supporters will allocated around 21,000 tickets for the final, with the remaining 32,000 going to sponsors, the German FA and neutral fans.
