Wolfsburg and Hertha Berlin in six-goal thriller; Hoffenheim beat Cologne

Hertha Berlin scored a late equaliser to salvage a 3-3 draw in a rollercoaster Bundesliga game at Wolfsburg.

The visitors led after only 21 seconds when Vedad Ibisevic latched on to a through ball and poked home, but Wolfsburg -- who had earlier seen Mario Gomez hit the bar with a penalty -- levelled through Yunus Malli.

Gomez struck again to put the home side ahead before the break, but Hertha levelled again early in the second half when Karim Rekik headed home, only for Liverpool loanee Divock Origi to restore the Wolfsburg lead on the hour.

But Hertha had the final word on a dramatic afternoon, Davie Selke firing home the rebound from his saved effort to ensure honours finished even.

Sandro Wagner scored twice as Hoffenheim recorded their first Bundesliga victory in five games by beating bottom club Cologne 3-0.

Teenage midfielder Dennis Geiger set the visitors on course for a comfortable victory with a composed 10th-minute finish past Cologne goalkeeper Timo Horn.

Germany international striker Wagner doubled the advantage from the penalty spot early in the second half after Mark Uth was brought down in the box.

And he compounded winless Cologne's misery by volleying home an Andrej Kramaric's centre with 10 minutes left as Hoffenheim climbed to fifth.
