Jurgen Klopp: I could imagine coaching Bayern Munich in the future

Outgoing Borussia Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp has said he is open to taking over at Bayern Munich at a later point in his career.

Klopp is set for his final match in charge of Dortmund on Saturday when they take on Wolfsburg in the DFB-Pokal final in Berlin.

Speaking to Sky Deutschland ahead of last Saturday's 3-2 win against Werder Bremen, the former Mainz boss, who is expected to leave the Bundesliga for his next job, said he has not ruled out joining BVB's rivals Bayern in the future.

"Sure, why shouldn't I be able to imagine that? I am a coach. And I want to continue working for a while," Klopp said when asked whether he was open to a future appointment at the Allianz Arena. "But right now that's difficult, but they also know that in Munich."

Klopp, who has already said he is open to a Dortmund return, also hinted that he could join another Bundesliga club.

Jurgen Klopp is set for his final Borussia Dortmund game on Saturday.

"There are several exciting projects in Germany, clubs which did not have a lot of success in recent years," he said.

Bayern defender Jerome Boateng, meanwhile, has suggested that he would like to one day work under Klopp.

"He's a very good coach. You'll see if it happens, but it's indeed interesting," he told Sport1.

Also speaking to Sport1, Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said that the club's main priority is tying Pep Guardiola, who is under contract until 2016, to a new deal.

"It's nice that Klopp has a soft spot for Bayern," he added.
