Wolfsburg assistant boss Andries Jonker is to join Arsenal as youth team coach at the end of the season.
Jonker, who also managed Bayern Munich for a brief spell, having joined the club as Louis van Gaal's assistant, agreed a deal with the Gunners this month.
Wolfsburg sporting director Klaus Allofs said the club had reluctantly allowed the 51-year-old to move to North London.
He added: "Although we regret this step, we have had a very good working relationship and gave Andries the chance to take over this task.
"For him, it is a unique opportunity to be solely responsible at an international club."
Andries has been with Wolfsburg -- who are backed by Volkswagen and recently signed Kevin de Bruyne for a fee believed to have been around 22 million euros -- since 2012.
