German media reports have linked Hoffenheim midfielder Fabian Johnson with a free transfer switch to Borussia Moenchengladbach in the summer.
Johnson, 26, will be out of contract in the summer and has yet to extend his deal. The U.S. international, who joined from Wolfsburg in 2011, has made 72 Bundesliga appearances for Hoffenheim, scoring five goals and setting up a further 13.
Hoffenheim sporting director Alexander Rosen told football magazine kicker: “We want to keep Fabian, but we also know that other clubs are interested.
“The player and his agent have communicated that they will not make any decision before the end of January. We must accept that.”
