Report: Leverkusen set to sign Son
Hamburg attacker Heung-Min Son is to join Bayer Leverkusen, according to kicker.
South Korea international Son, 20, has one year remaining on his contract and has turned down an extension reported to be worth €2.8 million a year, and is now expected to make a €10 million move to Leverkusen.
The deal is thought to have paved the way for Andre Schurrle to join Chelsea. That transfer was said to be close on Wednesday, although Leverkusen have denied a deal has already been agreed.
Nonetheless, it appears the Germany international’s prospective replacement is set to arrive at the BayArena, with kicker reporting that a deal will be completed “if nothing goes badly wrong”.
Son, who scored 12 goals last season, has also been linked with clubs including Tottenham, Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund.
