Lewandowski leaving Dortmund - agent

Robert Lewandowski has already agreed terms with a new club and Dortmund are allowing him to leave in the summer, according to the player’s agent.

Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp celebrates his side's dramatic win over Malaga with Robert Lewandowski

Lewandowski produced a breath-taking display as Dortmund defeated Real Madrid in Wednesday night’s Champions League semi-final first leg, netting all four goals in his side’s 4-1 win.

Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp and chief executive Aki Watzke both spoke after the match about their desire to hang on to Lewandoswki, who has previously been heavily linked with Bayern Munich and Manchester United.

But the Poland striker’s agent Maik Barthel insists his client will leave the Westfalenstadion at the end of the season and that Dortmund know what to expect from a player whose contract expires in 2014.

"We are in agreement with a club and have the right to change this summer,” Barthel is quoted as telling Sport Bild. “All the claims of Dortmund are met."

Dortmund have already confirmed this week that they are losing Mario Gotze to Bayern Munich and the Bundesliga champions are favourites to land Lewandowski too.

Sir Alex Ferguson is also believed to be an admirer of Lewandowski, who just four years ago was a target for West Brom and Blackburn, with the latter close to wrapping up a deal until Iceland's Eyjafjallajokull volcano prevented him from putting pen to paper.
