  • 90'

It comes to nothing, and that's the end of the match, and of Oldham's run. It's Wigan next for Everton as the Toffees move into the quarter-finals.

  • 90'

Seconds remaining now of what has been a wonderful Cup run by Oldham, who deserve huge praise for what they have done in this season's competition. They've very arguably been the stars of the show, and have one more set-piece...

  • 90'

  • 90'

Tarkowski finds a hanging cross towards Smith, who gets a header on it - but it's straight at Tim Howard.

  • 90'

There will be three minutes of injury-time at Goodison Park.

  • 89'

In fact, the referee gave a free-kick for that one - Jelavic handled as he tried to get that ball under control.

  • 88'

Oldham are still battling for every ball, and crowd out Jelavic as he tries to break.

  • 88'

Pienaar is off and Hitzlsperger on. Not much of normal time remaining now.

  • 87'

Howard hits the ball long, and aimlessly, and Oldham win it back. Can they find one more goal to take out of the evening and add to Smith's?

  • 86'

He does: not much dispute about that, you feel, and Howard is still down. He should be back on his feet soon, though.

  • 85'

Simpson fouls Howard as he tries to get something on a hoisted Tarkowski ball. That looked a painful fall for Howard, and Simpson may well be booked.

  • 85'

That's the last action of the night for Mirallas, who is replaced by Naismith.

  • 84'

Everton break - Mirallas and jelavic set up Gibson with loads of time to shoot. He blazes it over - very wasteful.

  • 83'

Baxter tries a shot from the edge of the area, and Everton charge it down. A goal back here and you never know...

  • 82'

The Oldham fans are still singing, but a comeback now would be very unlikely.

  • 81'

Smith tussles with Coleman as another cross comes in, and that will be an Everton free-kick.

  • 80'

When it comes in, Gibson tries a shot and Grounds is there again. He's another Latic to have had an excellent game tonight.

  • 79'

Mirallas does well but so does Grounds, putting the ball behind for an Everton corner.

  • 78'

M'Voto does well once again as another ball comes in to the Oldham box. Back come Everton with Mirallas, and then Coleman on the right...

  • 77'

Smith and Neville challenge - hardly an equal battle, that one. When the ball comes back towards Smith, he is penalised and Everton have a free-kick deep inside their own half.

  • 77'

Jelovic comes forward down the left, and Tarkowski takes the ball away from him with contemptuous ease. The Oldham fans enjoyed that moment.

  • 76'

Brown is off and Wesolowski on as Oldham make a third change.

  • 76'

M'Voto clears as the ball comes back in and the next Everton ball in is a poor one, straight behind for a goal-kick.

  • 75'

They play it short, but Oldham close down Mirallas as he attempts to cross and the ball is deflected away for an Everton throw.

  • 74'

Mirallas swings in a deep free-kick from the right for Everton, and that's put behind for a corner...

  • 73'

Croft gives the ball away in midfield - and then he tracks all the way back to win it back and rectify his error. He did that all the way through the first game, too. Great play.

  • 72'

Then Oldham cross towards Smith once again, but that's much too high for him and goers out for an Everton throw on their left.

  • 71'

Baines sets off on a run and the ball gets to Osman on the right of the area - his cross bisects all the Everton attackers, and Oldham get it clear.

  • 70'

...and he is. He's back on his feet as the game enters its last 20 minutes.

  • 69'

Smith and Distin collide, and the Oldham man is down. Looks as though he should be ok, though...

  • 68'

Brown comes down the right for Oldham, and Barnard is unable to direct his header on target. Good play from the Latics - again.

  • 67'

Well he could have done, but he miscontrols and the ball is behind for an Oldham goal-kick.

  • 67'

Neat football by the visitors in midfield, but a pass goes astray and Mirallas can break.

  • 66'

Gibson plays a free-kick in for Everton, and Brown heads it straight back out again for Oldham.

  • 65'

Straight to the other end, where Seamus Coleman makes a run and lashes a shot well wide from the right-hand angle of the area.

  • 65'

A little glimmer for Oldham from their big substitute striker, and a goal they have deserved on the night.

  • 64'

GOAL: And they have a goal back from it, substitute Smith, poorly-marked, thumping home a header inside the six-yard box.

  • 63'

And that, surely, is that. But Croft has something to say about it, moving down the right... and winning a corner.

  • 62'

GOAL: And for all Oldham's improvement, Everton have a third. The ball is flicked on by Leon Osman, Jelavic is lurking, and the ball bounces into the corner. It's Osman's goal.

  • 61'

Coleman gets a nudge from Barnard as the two battle for an Oldham ball forward. Free-kick Everton, says the referee.

  • 61'

Everton get the ball on the right and a low cross goes in towards Osman. Furman steps in well for Oldham.

  • 61'

Good play from Brown - he finds Croft, who lashes an early shot into the side netting.

  • 60'

On the hour mark, and there is still plenty of life left in Oldham Athletic here.

  • 59'

Croft hits a cross, which deflects - straight to home goalkeeper Howard.

  • 58'

Another ball goes in towards Smith, an again Everton scramble away. Distin is complaining to the referee, suggesting he might have got a bit of rough treatment off the substitute there.

  • 57'

Smith puts himself about again, and Oldham win a throw inside Everton territory. A goal back here would make things interesting.

  • 57'

Howard punches that one, and Everton just about get it away. Better stuff from Oldham, that.

  • 56'

Oldham cross low through Furman. Baxter is waiting, but Phil Neville intercepts well to put it behind for a corner.

  • 55'

Smith immediately wins a header, and he got a big reception from the travelling support for that.

  • 54'

Smith is on for Iwelumo, Obita off for Robbie Simpson.

  • 54'

Meanwhile, play goes on with a rather aimless ball forward from Oldham. Everton clear without stress.

  • 54'

Oldham changes, it appears, are imminent now.

  • 53'

Pienaar finds a good ball out to Coleman on the right - he crosses and Osman can only stab it straight to Bouzanis.

  • 52'

The first chance of the second period, and it's another one for the home side.

  • 51'

Jelavic gets something to it and it falls for Jagielka, who thumps it high over the top.

  • 51'

Howard thumps long for Everton and Brown gets the header all wrong for Oldham, sending it away from his 'keeper and behind for a very avoidable corner.

  • 50'

Matt Smith is warming up for Oldham - a change from them could be coming soon.

  • 49'

Now Baines comes forward and is on the left of the box, but Baxter gets in with a challenge for Oldham.

  • 48'

M'Voto plays the ball forward, but not to a colleague - that one only finds Baines.

  • 48'

Good noise from the visiting fans once more - they certainly haven't given up hope.

  • 47'

Then they let the ball drift out. Throw to the visitors, inside their own half.

  • 47'

Obita is the Oldham player who gets the challenge in, but Everton retain possession.

  • 46'

The home side construct some neat football straight away, and win a throw deep inside Oldham territory.

  • 46'

Everton get the second half started - can Oldham find a way back into the tie?

  • 45'

And as Everton clear, the half-time whistle goes. Oldham could wonder about a possible offside on the first Everton goal, and had claims for a penalty of their own, but they are 2-0 down at the break.

  • 45'

A minute of added time, which we're in. Another attacking Oldham throw...

  • 45'

Gibson clears, and Mirallas plays what is nearly a superb ball to the advancing Jelavic. He, however, can't quite get it under control.

  • 44'

Final minute of the first period. Throw to Oldham in an attacking position, which Grounds will take...

  • 44'

As the ball comes forward, there's a clash between the jumping Osman and Tarkowski. Both are dazed but OK.

  • 43'

Furman floats it in, Tarkowski challenges Howard and the referee says foul. Not much doubt about that one.

  • 42'

But they have another one. Good industry from Croft on the right, and he's felled by Baines. Better delivery this time?

  • 41'

No. Baxter's free-kick is poor - Oldham have wasted one or two useful set-pieces tonight - and there's no threat to Everton at all from that.

  • 41'

Brown, Croft and Furman combine well for Oldham, who win a free-kick in a crossing position. Can they pull a goal back before the break?

  • 40'

And it could have been 3-0 - Coleman crosses very well from the right, but Jelavic can't control the header, steering it over the bar.

  • 39'

Furman heads clear as Mirallas dinks the ball forward on the right-hand side of the Oldham area. Five minutes until the break.

  • 39'

Full credit to Oldham, who have not been deflated by that second Everton goal. Neither have their fans, who are giving the home support a lesson in how to make a noise.

  • 38'

Croft tries to find a way through, but is crowded out. He's had very little joy so far tonight.

  • 37'

Pienaar falls rather easily to the ground just inside his own half. Free-kick, says the referee. But it goes wrong and Oldham come forward with some neat passing...

  • 37'

Baxter takes. It's an excellent delivery, but the referee adjudges that M'Voto is putting illegal pressure on Tim Howard. Free-kick Everton.

  • 36'

Oldham respond by winning a corner. What can they do from this?

  • 35'

Everton are passing the ball around at the back. Forward it goes to the offside Jealavic. Free-kick to Oldham, whose fans sing that "we're going to win 3-2".

  • 34'

GOAL: Bouzanis goes the right way and gets a good touch to the kick from Baines, but the ball goes in and Everton have doubled their lead.

  • 33'

There was, says the referee. Penalty to Everton...

  • 33'

Everton have the ball on halfway. Neville chugs forward. Osman is well challenged by Furman but Everton come again and there may have been a handball by Brown as the cross comes in...

  • 32'

Oldham are still chasing and harrying well in midfield but, that fine Baxter effort apart, have yet to muster much in the way of threat.

  • 31'

Then Mirallas plays a ball forward for the home side. It's aimless, though, and Bouzanis has it.

  • 31'

Brown and Barnard try to combine on the right for Oldham, and are stopped by Osman's challenge.

  • 31'

Baxter tries to get forward, but Neville is there to win the ball back for the Toffees just over halfway.

  • 30'

Everton have a throw inside their own half. Although, as you would expect, they have had the bulk of the possession, their visitors are still very much in this game.

  • 29'

That comes to nothing. Everton want another - and it appears they should have had one - but the referee says goal-kick.

  • 28'

Then Pienaar is blocked off but the ball falls to Baines, who thumps from the edge of the area. Bouzanis tips it away. Corner...

  • 28'

Mirallas is looking busy. He tries to make something happen down the right, but Grounds thumps the ball out for a throw.

  • 27'

M'Voto is in there again for Oldham - he's had a good night so far.

  • 26'

Howard takes the free-kick, and it goes long downfield. Mirallas crosses long, but Croft misses his clearance and Everton can come back again.

  • 25'

David Moyes looks a bit annoyed about something. Not unusual for him, though. Grounds is penalised for handball as Oldham come forward, and Everton have the free-kick.

  • 24'

Whinges from the Everton fans in the Gwladys Street end. They think Tarkowski was holding Jelavic inside the area. The referee doesn't.

  • 23'

Then Mirallas tries a turn, but the ball is won back well by Furman before Grounds puts it out for a throw-in.

  • 23'

Jelavic and Mirallas combine, giving the latter a crossing chance. Oldham stand firm and clear their lines.

  • 22'

Everton have a throw on halfway, which Baines will take. We haven't seen much of him so far.

  • 22'

Oldham target Iwelumo, who is tussling with Distain, and the ball bounces out for a goal-kick which Howard will hit long.

  • 21'

Jelavic, who appears increasingly frustrated, gives a way a free-kick with some fairly obvious holding.

  • 21'

It's been pretty lively fare so far, and Oldham can count themselves unfortunate not to be on level terms.

  • 20'

Meanwhile, Everton have - and waste - a free-kick from the right of the area.

  • 19'

As Everton cleared the follow-up shot, Oldham had claims for a penalty - the ball appearing to hit the hand of Gibson as it was blasted away.

  • 18'

Jelavic tries to take an early shot as he runs into the area. Typically of his recent form, it's an unconfident effort and dribbles through to the 'keeper.

  • 18'

A great effort by Baxter, who began his career at Everton, and that will provide plenty of encouragement for the visitors.

  • 17'

...he curls a peach of a shot past Howard, only to see the ball rebound off the far post. Desperately unlucky.

  • 16'

Oldham come straight back, and there's a shooting chance for Baxter from the edge of the box...

  • 15'

GOAL: Gibson crosses the ball in, and inside the six-yard box, Mirallas finishes deftly. Everton have the breakthrough.

  • 15'

A little spell of Everton pressure is building here - and they can cross...

  • 15'

It almost falls for Gibson on the edge of the box, but Obita gets in and Croft clears.

  • 14'

...he does, but Howard claims. And as Everton come forward, Croft, back in defence, concedes a corner under pressure from Pienaar.

  • 13'

Free-kick to Oldham - a late challenge by Pienaar on Brown, and Baxter can float this one in...

  • 12'

Gibson again tries to spread the play, this time towards Mirallas on the right. Grounds nods it away.

  • 12'

Oldham knock the ball towards Iwelumo, but Tim Howard comes off his line to take command of that situation.

  • 11'

Everton again try to find Pienaar, and this time the flag is up for offside.

  • 11'

Osman finds Pienaar on the left. Again, Oldham are snapping into their challenges and put the ball out for a throw.

  • 10'

Obita steps in to win the ball back after a loose pass - that determination typifies the Latics' attitude throughout their Cup run.

  • 9'

Oldham will be more than pleased with what they have done so far - they've given their hosts no time to settle, nor to find any kind of real rhythm in their passing.

  • 9'

Coleman plays a ball forward, but it's aimless and Oldham let it run through to the 'keeper.

  • 8'

...he wins the flick, but it's to nobody in particular and Everton get that away comfortably.

  • 7'

Everton look for Mirallas, but he's offside and Oldham play it long to Iwelumo...

  • 7'

Gibson knocks the ball wide again, but Oldham win it back and Croft motors forward. Coleman is there to clear for Everton as the Latics break breaks down.

  • 6'

Everton in possession here, though. Osman - who scored in the defeat at Norwich - finds Gibson and, when the ball goes back to Baines inside the area, he fouls Furman.

  • 5'

There's great support from the travelling fans, and they'll be encouraged by what they have seen so far.

  • 4'

Forward comes Grounds, whose cross has to be dealt with by the recalled Neville.

  • 4'

The Oldham wall stands firm, and the ball is soon back inside the Everton half.

  • 3'

Grounds concedes a free-kick as Mirallas bursts forward about 25 yards out. It's central, and Baines will surely have a go at this one.

  • 3'

Phil Neville prods a shot ball forward towards Mirallas, and M'Voto is there again to intercept.

  • 2'

...he finds Baines, whose cross is cleared by M'Voto.

  • 2'

Plenty of purpose to the visitors already - they are chasing everything furiously, just as they did on their own patch. But here's Jelavic...

  • 1'

Lee Croft, so good in the first game, tries to get away down the right, but runs out of room and it's an Everton goal-kick as the ball goes behind.

  • 1'

Forward it goes, long and early, and Everton head clear.

  • 1'

Pretty much a full house, and there's plenty of noise as Oldham get this replay under way.

Two minutes or so until kick-off - stay with ESPN FC for all the action as it happens.

The teams are on their way out of the tunnel at Goodison Park. Oldham have their orange change kit shirts on, with blue shorts and orange socks.

"You never say never," says Philliskirk, who says he has opted for Chris Iwelumo ahead of Smith because of the experience he can bring to a largely inexperienced line-up.

Oldham, of course, are chasing an FA Cup Merseyside double, having defeated Liverpool 3-2 at Boundary Park earlier in the competition.

Everton, however, could do with boost. Their last-gasp defeat at Norwich on Saturday was a second in succession in the Premier League, denting their hopes of a top-four finish.

The Latics won 1-0 at Goodison Park in the 2008 FA Cup - can they repeat that feat?

Oldham have, amongst others, the havoc-creating Smith to call on: Cisak, Wesolowski, Simpson, Smith, Millar, Winchester, Mellor.

The Everton bench tonight is like this: Mucha, Heitinga, Oviedo, Naismith, Hitzlsperger, Vellios, Duffy.

Oldham were tremendous in the first game, and thoroughly deserved this replay. Can they rattle Everton again? We'll find out in a little over half an hour.

This is the team he puts out: Bouzanis, Brown, Grounds, M'Voto, Tarkowski, Croft, Furman, Iwelumo, Obita, Barnard, Baxter.

Oldham, meanwhile, are unchanged from their 1-0 league win at home to Portsmouth on Saturday, and caretaker manager Tony Philliskirk says they'll be going for it against the Toffees.

This is the team that will start the game for David Moyes: Howard, Neville, Baines, Gibson, Jagielka, Jelavic, Mirallas, Distin, Osman, Pienaar, Coleman.

But it's still a strong XI for the Toffees, who were within seconds of winning the first game at Boundary Park before towering striker Matt Smith intervened.

Everton's Marouane Fellaini is not in the squad for tonight's FA Cup replay against League One Oldham, while Steven Naismith is also out of the team at Goodison Park.
