  • 90'

Terry and Lampard lift the cup for Chelsea, who have won the double. That's all from me. Thanks for following today's commentary on ESPN Soccernet. Join us in a week for the Champions League final between Bayern Munich and Inter Milan. Bye!

  • 90'

Avram Grant received a fantastic ovation as he colelcted his medal. Quite rightly too.

  • 90'

The Portsmouth players climb the Wembley steps to receive their losers medals. Chelsea climb the steps to claim the trophy, led by captain John Terry.

  • 90'

John Terry has just described the Wembley pitch as "the worst pitch he's played on this year" - something must be done about that dreadful cabbage patch of a surface.

  • 90'

Boateng looks distraught as Chelsea celebrate on the pitch.

  • 90'

And, of course, Ancelotti has guided them to their first ever double.

  • 90'

The final whistle sounds! Chelsea have beaten Portsmouth 1-0 and have won the FA Cup.

  • 90'

Michael Brown is making no friends among the Chelsea ranks as he deals with Sturridge, Drogba and then Ashley Cole, who are all trying to keep the ball in the corner.

  • 90'

    Rocha is booked for dissent.

  • 90'

    Yellow card: Rocha (Portsmouth)

  • 90'

    3 added minutes.

  • 89'

Chelsea sub: Sturridge on for Anelka

  • 88'

And it's still 1-0! Lampard dragged the penalty wide of James's right post. I'm sure he'll blame the pitch. Another awful penalty from who is usually Chelsea's Mr Reliable.

  • 87'

  • 87'

Lampard is tripped by Brown and Lampard will step up to take it.

  • 87'

  • 86'

Utaka comes close for Portsmouth. Another great ball in from the left by Belhadj but Utaka couldn't quite get a head on the ball.

  • 85'

Chelsea and England youngster Daniel Sturridge is warming up on the touchline.

  • 84'

Belhadj came on for Mullins a few moments ago.

  • 84'

Dindane makes a late challenge on Ashley Cole and he definitely stood on Cole's foot. Cole seems ok though.

  • 83'

Chance for Portsmouth! Belhadj makes an instant impact by putting in a good low cross into the 6 yard area. Terry and Alex were struggling and Dindane just failed to make contact at the far post.

  • 81'

Portsmouth double sub: Kanu on for Diop. Belhadj on for Mullins.

  • 79'

Joe Cole gets into what looked like a decent shooting position but decided to switch the ball to the unmarked Drogba but Mokoena again intercepted it.

  • 77'

Utaka gets to the byline but runs out of space in the presence of Ivanovic.

  • 76'

The Portsmouth fans are still in good voice. They believe, even if the players do not.

  • 75'

    Chelsea to win, with bet365
    Portsmouth to win, with bet365

  • 75'

Lampard tries his luck from distance, but the ball sails over.

  • 74'

Chelsea are pulling all the strings now and Lampard is controlling the game. Chelsea have enjoyed 57% possession and the wind is out of Portsmouth's sails after the penalty miss.

  • 73'

Anelka gets a sight of goal but can't keep his shot down from 20 yards out.

  • 72'

Boateng's head seems to be in the wrong place since that penalty miss and Avram Grant has put him out of his misery.

  • 71'

Portsmouth sub: Utaka on for Boateng.

  • 69'

Joe Cole gets 25 minutes to show Capello what he can do. http://bit.ly/aYc4L2

  • 68'

Chelsea are raining shots on the Portsmouth goal. Drogba, Joe Cole and then Beletti fire in shots at David James.

  • 67'

Chelsea sub: Joe Cole on for Kalou

  • 65'

Diop blocks Ashley Cole fairly in the Portsmouth box and Cole succeeds in fouling a man twice his size.

  • 63'

John Terry has cynically blocked Dindane.

  • 61'

Ivanovic appears on the right in some space and finds Kalou with a low cross, but Kalou is stretching and can't quite get his shot on target. Portsmouth are on the back foot now.

  • 60'

    Chelsea to win, with bet365
    Portsmouth to win, with bet365

  • 59'

Drogba hits a precise free kick and, predictably, the ball goes in off the post. Great free kick and Portsmouth are made to pay for the missed penalty moments earlier.

  • 58'

GOAL! 1-0 Chelsea! It was Drogba.

  • 57'

And now Chelsea have won a free kick in a dangerous area, just left of centre. Drogba or Alex?

  • 56'

I didn't get a chance tio explain the penalty incident as that all happened so quickly. Dindane was played in by Finnan and Beletti, who was always struggling to keep up with him, sticks a leg out and brings him down. Clear penalty.

  • 55'

Terrible penalty. He tried to go low and down the middle and Cech saves with his feet. Heartbreak for the underdogs.

  • 54'

    Boateng has missed!

  • 53'

  • 51'

Piquionne is fouled by Ivanovic. Portsmouth can get men in the box here.

  • 50'

The resulting free kick finds Boateng unmarked at the back post and he takes a quick touch to control it and swings a left foot at it and the ball flies just over. Good chance for Portsmouth.

  • 49'

Terry is penalised for pushing Piquionne in the back.

  • 48'

Anelka gets into a good position but runs into a cul-de-sac on the left hand side. Ashley Cole helps him out and Chelsea have a throw.

  • 47'

The Ghanian is back to his feet and the game re-starts.

  • 46'

Boateng is down and is holding his head. Drogba has caught him with an elbow.

  • 46'

Club Wembley (the posh seats behind the managers) are empty and the rest of the stadium is packed. That can mean only one thing, the second half is underway.

  • 45'

    Chelsea to win, with bet365
    Portsmouth to win, with bet365

  • 45'

Great half of football, let's hope the second half is just as good.

  • 45'

Chelsea hit the post 5 times in one half of football. Incredible. David James and Peter Cech share a joke as the teams disappear down the tunnel. I pressume they are as baffled as I am that the score is still 0-0.

  • 45'

But that's it, no more time to hit the post. The half time whistle blows.

  • 45'

There are 3 minutes injury time being added for that injury to Ballack.

  • 45'

Anelka shapes a shot from the edge of the box and the ball is deflected out for a corner.

  • 44'

Chelsea nearly score again! I have no idea how this game is still 0-0! Ivanovic finds Kalou in the box and his shot is scrambled clear first by Mokoena and then again by James.

  • 43'

Ballack has been hobbling around since that tackle with Boateng and has finally succumbed.

  • 42'

Chelsea sub: Beletti on for Ballack

  • 41'

Has any side ever hit the post 5 times in one half of the Cup final? Tweet me at www.twitter.com/mjdasilva if you have the answer. I'd be surprised if anyone has.

  • 40'

He found himself at close range with James coming out and put the ball just under the keeper but the ball rebounded back off the near post.

  • 39'

Unbelievable. Drogba has hit the post again!

  • 38'

That was very, very close but I think it wasn't a goal but only just. We're talking milimetres and Drogba has only just stopped celebrating!

  • 37'

Drogba has scored! No he hasn't! Drogba has struck the free kick from at least 25 yards and the ball has hit the underside of the bar (again!) and bounced as close to over the line as you can get without it being a goal!

  • 35'

    Yellow card: Boateng (Portsmouth)

  • 34'

Boateng has come in late on Ballack and the German looks to be in a bad way.

  • 33'

Boateng finds himself with a lot of space in front of him and finds Dindane with a pull back but Dindane finds the air and not the ball.

  • 32'

Dindane and Ballack tangle and the challenge causes some anger from the Portsmouth players. Ballack slaps Dindane in the face but I don't think the ref saw that. Ballack is lucky.

  • 31'

Drogba lays the ball of to Anelka who shoots from the edge of the box. The shot is deflected out for a Chelsea corner.

  • 30'

    Chelsea to win, with bet365
    Portsmouth to win, with bet365

  • 30'

This is a great game so far.

  • 29'

The free kick is floated in to the far post and John Terry's header crashes against the crossbar. Chelsea have hit the woodwork 3 times now!

  • 27'

Drogba is dragged down by Diop again. Free kick.

  • 24'

How has Kalou missed??? Ashley Cole breaks down the left ad his cross finds the Ivorian unmarked 3 yards out but he somehow hits the bar. The worst ever miss in an FA Cup final? Quite possibly.

  • 24'

Portsmouth playing with real confidence now but despite some great build-up play, Boateng can't keep a throughball in play.

  • 23'

Portsmouth are coming alive and O'Hara is pulling the strings. He plays in Piquionne on the right but his cross is out for a goal kick.

  • 22'

And that will give Portsmouth real belief.

  • 21'

Fantastic chance for Portsmouth! Dindane's deep cross was volleyed by Boateng and redirected from close range by Piquionne but a superb reflex save from Cech keeps it 0-0. Great save from Cech but Piquionne should have scored really. Best chance of the game.

  • 20'

Chelsea attack brilliantly through Lampard, who found Ivanovic overlapping on the right, his cross found Drogba but his two shots were blocked heroicly by Mokoena again. Brilliant ast ditch defending there.

  • 19'

Portsmouth counter attack well and Dindane wins some much needed territory for the underdogs.

  • 18'

To everyone's surprise Alex smacks it, but it hits the wall. But Chelsea come at them again and Drogba forces a corner.

  • 17'

Diop is penalised for handball. Lampard or Drogba to take the free kick.

  • 15'

    Chelsea to win, with bet365
    Portsmouth to win, with bet365

  • 15'

The resulting corner from Malouda is headed clear for Portsmouth.

  • 14'

Anelka cuts inside from the left and forces a smart save out of James at his near post. Another good effort and Chelsea are beginning to find their rhythm.

  • 13'

Lampard hits the post! Great effort out of nothing from 25 yards out. Typical Lampard but unfortunately for him the ball swerved off to the right at the last moment and struck the outside of the right post. Great effort.

  • 12'

Brown and Lampard clash, and Brown fouled the England man twice there. He gets a talking to by referee Chris Hoy.

  • 11'

Portsmouth break away through Dindane but Ashley Cole brings the pacey break to a halt by thumping the ball into row Z.

  • 10'

Anelka beat Diop and Diop brought him down quite cynically there. Chelsea have a free kick 25 or so yards out, just left of centre.

  • 9'

If O'Hara is forced off it would be a major blow to Portsmouth.

  • 8'

Jamie O'Hara seems to be really struggling out there. He is limping and holding his leg. He could be an early casualty of this cup final.

  • 7'

Dindane and Piquionne are making progress down the right and they win an attacking throw.

  • 6'

Anelka, who is looking lively, tries to find Kalou with a flick-on but Portsmouth are resolute in defence so far.

  • 4'

It's a fast start by Chelsea and Kalou motors down the right, but his cross is headed out by South Africa captain Mokoena.

  • 3'

Lampard is inches away from opening the scoring within 3 minutes. After Anelka burst through and attempted a shot from the edge of the box, the rebound came to Lampard whose shot swerved just wide of the right post.

  • 2'

As Chelsea enjoy some early possession, the one thing that I need to point out is just how BAD the Wembley pitch looks. It is quite simply a disgrace and appears to be more sand than grass.

  • 1'

Portsmouth are playing in their new away kit of white shirts, red shorts and red socks.

  • 1'

Portsmouth are huddled together, but it is Chelsea who kick off the 2010 FA Cup final. They are playing in their new blue kit, kicking from right to left.

And now "God Save The Queen" has been sung, the players have shaken hands and the serious business of the FA Cup final is about to kick off.

Prince William is shaking the hands of the players and match officials.

David James leads out Portsmouth in what could be their last game in the big time for some time. John Terry, as proud as ever, leads out Chelsea in their new home kit which includes a flash of red around the collar.

While we wait for the players to emerge from the tunnel you can follow me, Michael Da Silva, on Twitter at www.twitter.com/mjdasilva.

"Abide With Me" is being sung which means we're just 10 minutes from kick off. Wembley is a sea of blue this afternoon and the atmosphere is amazing, even if the pitch isn't.

They will complete the league and cup double if they win today, a feat first achieved by Preston North End in 1889. The double has only been won on 10 occasions, most recently by Arsenal in 2002.

Chelsea are overwhelming favourites to lift the famous trophy for the second season in succession, with bookmakers offering miserly odds of 1-10.

Portsmouth's Jamie O'Hara has undergone an intensive programme of massages and ice baths to be fit for this, his last game for Portsmouth before returning to Spurs.

Branislav Ivanovic has overcome a knee complaint, while John Obi Mikel has undergone minor surgery on a knee injury.

Chelsea skipper John Terry has declared himself fit for today's FA Cup final with Portsmouth after scans confirmed he had not fractured his right foot.

Portsmouth XI: James, Finnan, Mokoena, Rocha, Mullins, Dindane, Brown, Diop, Boateng, O'Hara, Piquionne.

Chelsea XI: Cech, Ivanovic, Alex, Terry, A Cole, Lampard, Ballack, Malouda, Kalou, Drogba, Anelka

The line-ups have just been announced, so let me give them to you straight away.
