  • 94'

Samuel Eto'o put Cameroon 1-0 up but goals from Nicklas Bendtner and Dennis Rommedahl turned the game on its head. It was an entertaining 90 minutes, and decisive at that.

  • 94'

FULL TIME! Cameroon are knocked out of the World Cup while the result also means Netherlands are the first team to qualify. Japan and Denmark will look to join them when facing each other on June 24.

  • 93'

It was hoped this World Cup would showcase the best in African football, but it looks as though an African team will be the first to go home.

  • 92'

Denmark look to be holding firm in the pace of Cameroon pressure, just seconds left now.

  • 91'

    Into injury time in Pretoria...

  • 90'

It has been a hugely entertaining game in Pretoria, will we have a thrilling finish?

  • 88'

ESPN Stats & Info: Cameroon have had seven shots on target. Teams with at least six shots on target have won seven and drawn two in this World Cup.

  • 88'

Geremi's free kick is headed clear by Bendtner. Disappointing for Cameroon.

  • 87'

Kjaer misses the final group game against Japan for fouling Aboubakar.

  • 87'

Cameroon are three minutes away from going out of the World Cup.

  • 87'

Eto'o cuts the ball back into the box but Aboubakar cannot get a clean connection. Denmark look to break but Bendtner cannot find a team-mate on the edge of the box.

  • 86'

Sorensen is booked for timewasting from a goalkick.

  • 86'

Jakob Poulsen comes on for Jon Dahl Tomasson as they look to close out the game.

  • 85'

Idrissou wastes another header from a central position and he really should have forced Sorensen into a save.

  • 84'

Cameroon pour players forward for a Geremi free-kick but Lars Jacobsen heads clear.

  • 83'

Dennis Rommedahl scores Denmark's second goal.

  • 82'

Christian Poulsen, lying on the floor, inadvertently blocks a shot from Aboubakar with his head. It leaves the midfielder dizzy but he continues. What a fine piece of defending!

  • 81'

Bendtner plays in Tomasson and although his attempted backheel is poor, the forward retains possession and returns the ball to the Arsenal striker who drills in a low effort that is saved.

  • 81'

Cameroon are enjoying plenty of possession and appear to be wearing down the Danish defence, but do they have enough time?

  • 79'

Idrissou misses a glorious chance for Cameroon! He found plenty of space from a corner but the ball was just too high to get a decent connection.

  • 79'

Young striker Vincent Aboubakar, the only home-based player in the Cameroon squad, comes on for Webo.

  • 77'

Time is running out for Cameroon now, and Thomas Sorensen pulls off a superb save to deny Emana as he bears down on goal, a great stop from the Denmark 'keeper.

  • 75'

    Cameroon to win, with bet365
    Denmark to win, with bet365

  • 75'

Stephane M'Bia goes into the book for a fairly loose challenge on Kahlenberg.

  • 75'

Cameroon look to launch a quick counter-attack but Samuel Eto'o slips as he receives the ball.

  • 75'

Alex Song saunters away from two markers some 25 yards from goal and finally takes a shot, but the Arsenal man sends his effort off target.

  • 74'

Idrissou scored nine goals in 30 games for Freiburg last season, he would be a somewhat unlikely hero.

  • 72'

Cameroon bring on Mohamadou Idrissou for Sebastien Bassong. A striker for a defender, and Alex Song will drop into a back three.

  • 71'

Hamidou pulls off a fine stop to deny Jon Dahl Tomasson after the striker races onto a long ball from Christian Poulsen. That could well have been 3-1.

  • 70'

    Rommedahl scored Denmark's second goal.

  • 69'

Cameroon string together a fantastic passing move and if they could have finished it off, it would have rivalled Esteban Cambiasso's goal in 2006. Sadly, Emana's shot rolls wide.

  • 67'

ESPN Stats & Info: If Denmark hold on, this would be the second time a team has come from behind to win at this World Cup, following Greece against Nigeria.

  • 66'

Thomas Kahlenberg replaces Jesper Gronkjaer for Denmark.

  • 65'

Emana slips a pass to Eto'o on the touchline and the striker turns the ball back across goal and into the path of Makoun, who sees his effort fly off target.

  • 63'

Cameroon seek a quick response but Webo can only head wide when leaping in the centre of the box. That early promise has evaporated for the Indomitable Lions.

  • 62'

That was an expert finish from Rommedahl, a lovely strike, and it means that Cameroon are heading out of the World Cup while Netherlands are going through to the last 16.

  • 61'

GOAL! Bendtner plays in Rommedahl and the winger bewitches Makoun, jinking to the outside of the midfielder and firing a lovely shot into the far corner. Brilliant.

  • 60'

    Cameroon to win, with bet365
    Denmark to win, with bet365

  • 60'

Assou-Ekotto is playing in a very advanced role and when the Spurs man bursts down the left, his cross finds Webo who spins and shoots, but his shot lacks pace.

  • 59'

Webo darts into the box but Agger stretches out a leg and justs gets enough on the ball to halt the Cameroon forward.

  • 58'

Pierre Webo is played in by Eto'o but the forward skies his shot and the ball will probably land somewhere near Johannesburg. That was high and not very handsome.

  • 56'

It has been a bit of a tepid start to the second half, it appears as though the defences have tightened up a touch, which is a shame.

  • 55'

Simon Kjaer requires treatment after a bang to the head but the highly-rated defender is back on.

  • 53'

Gronkjaer controls the ball neatly at the back post but his half-volleyed cross is misdirected and fails to find a team-mate.

  • 51'

Emana looks to produce a bit of magic once again as he takes a pass in his stride and attempts to bisect the Danish defence. His touch is too heavy though.

  • 49'

Daniel Agger sends a free-kick into the wall and when the ball rolls into the path of Kjaer, his effort is tipped over the bar.

  • 48'

Denmark fail to deal with a cross from Geremi and the ball falls to Assou-Ekotto, but Daniel Jensen produces a superb saving tackle to stop the left back from tapping in.

  • 46'

Cameroon start the second half brightly with Thomas Sorensen called into action to keep out a header from Stephane M'bia.

  • 46'

Cameroon replace Eyong Enoh with Jean Makoun.

  • 46'

Denmark replace Martin Jorgensen with Daniel Jensen.

  • 46'

  • 45'

    Cameroon to win, with bet365
    Denmark to win, with bet365

  • 45'

Just as a reminder, Netherlands will qualify for the last 16 if the game ends in a draw or a Denmark victory. Cameroon will be eliminated if they lose, which will be a shame on the evidence of the first half tonight.

  • 45'

Watching replays of the first half, it is clear that Simon Kjaer's pass to play in Rommedahl for the goal was exceptional. It went all of 62 metres. Superb.

  • 45'

Just in case you missed it earlier, Nicolas Anelka has been sent home from the World Cup following his outburst at Raymond Domenech.

  • 45'

Samuel Eto'o put Cameroon in front with a lovely finish.

  • 45'

  • 45'

This is exactly the kind of game we were missing in the first week of the World Cup. Both teams are positive, and, let's be honest, error-prone.

  • 45'

It has been a wonderfully frantic end to the half thanks to some sloppy play all over the pitch, and it could easily be 2-2.

  • 44'

Nicklas Bendtner tucks home the equaliser.

  • 44'

Now Emana dives through the Danish defence and past Daniel Agger, only to see his effort saved. The defending in the last five minutes has been terrible. That's good news for the game though.

  • 43'

What a miss from Cameroon! Emana is through on goal but opts to pass to Eto'o! The striker hits the post but Emana had to shoot.

  • 42'

Song goes from zero to hero! The Arenal man concedes possession in a sloppy manner but when Rommedahl cuts back to Tomasson, Song blocks the shot expertly.

  • 41'

Geremi whips in another good cross from the right and he has been excellent in a wide position.

  • 40'

Emana tries a delicious through-ball with the outside of his right boot but it is cut out. Still though, it was the right idea.

  • 39'

And as things stand, Netherlands are qualifying for the last 16.

  • 38'

So Denmark's World Cup campaign is underway. As things stand, they will be level on one point with Cameroon, two behind Japan who they play in their last game.

  • 37'

A stat for you: Eto'o's effort was the first goal Cameroon have scored in the first 30 minutes of a World Cup game.

  • 36'

All of Cameroon's excellent early work has been undone, and that must hurt Le Guen and his side.

  • 34'

That was a clinical move by Denmark as they took advantage of some poor positioning from Assou-Ekotto. Bendtner now has more World Cup goals than Wayne Rooney. Just saying.

  • 33'

GOAL! Rommedahl roasts Assou-Ekotto as he beats the offside trap and puts the ball on a plate for Nicklas Bendtner, who slides in and converts at the far post.

  • 32'

Emana and Webo exchange neat passes on the edge of the box but cannot fashion a chance. Another flowing move then breaks down before a shot is fired. This is entertaining fare though.

  • 31'

Cameroon are winning back possession well with Alex Song impressive in midfield. Denmark are struggling a bit with the tempo.

  • 30'

    Cameroon to win, with bet365
    Denmark to win, with bet365

  • 29'

Achille Emana picks up the ball and drives forward, but his shot swerves off target and the danger passes. He has been a livewire though.

  • 28'

That game against Japan looks a huge missed opportunity now for Cameroon. They could be looking at six points from two games if they had taken a different approach against Takeshi Okada's side.

  • 26'

This has been a vastly improved Cameroon side today, and moving Eto'o ghas paid off for Le Guen.

  • 24'

Samuel Eto'o has put Cameroon 1-0 up.

  • 23'

Denmark are beginning to improve and both Jesper Gronkjaer and Nicklas Bendtner see crosses cleared by the Cameroon defence.

  • 22'

ESPN Stats & Info: Cameroon have won four and drawn two when scoring the first goal in a World Cup game.

  • 20'

Nicolas N'Koulou allows Jon Dahl Tomasson to get goal side and while the striker is offside, he is not flagged and almost gets on the end of a ball into the box. That was dangerous.

  • 19'

Eto'o plays in Emana with a lovely first-time pass but his team-mate overindulges in a succession of stepovers in the box and gets the ball caught under his feet.

  • 17'

The set-piece finds Gronkjaer at the back post but he stoops to head and can only send the ball well wide. Still though, an encouraging spell for Denmark.

  • 16'

A rare chance for Denmark as Gronkjaer sees an effort from outside the box deflected wide for a corner.

  • 15'

    Cameroon to win, with bet365
    Denmark to win, with bet365

  • 15'

Eto'o pulls out a spinning backheeled pass and he is excelling in a central role. What on earth was he doing on the right in the first game. He may play that role for Inter, but still...

  • 13'

The ball drops to Achille Emana some 20 yards from goal and he sends a rasping effort just wide of the post. Denmark, who lost to Netherlands in their opening game, are being swamped at the moment.

  • 12'

Cameroon certainly deserve the lead after making much the better start, but how can Denmmark respond in Pretoria?

  • 11'

It was an accomplished finish, as you would expect, but that was a terrible piece of work from Poulsen. Really, really poor. He was looking to find his right back but played a blind pass into space.

  • 10'

GOAL! See what happens when you play him up front? Eto'o gets off the mark as Poulsen is guilty of a horrendously sloppy pass. Emana picked up the loose ball and squared for his deadly team-mate.

  • 9'

Geremi attempts to shoot from his latest set-piece wide on the left, but Thomas Sorensen claims at his near post.

  • 9'

Geremi delivers again but Cameroon clear. As Geremi attempts to whip in another cross, he is fouled by Jesper Gronkjaer.

  • 8'

Daniel Agger is pulled up for a foul and Geremi's set-piece is deflected behind for a corner.

  • 7'

Dennis Rommedahl gets to showcase his pace as he races onto a through-ball from Christian Poulsen, gets in behind Assou-Ekotto and lashes a shot at goal that flies just over.

  • 6'

It has been an up-tempo, encouraging start for Cameroon, exactly what they needed after a poor first game.

  • 5'

Eto'o spins with the ball some 20 yards from goal and drags a shot wide of the post. That's more than he contributed against Japan though.

  • 3'

Geremi is penalised for manhandling Simon Kjaer near the touchline. That was fairly unsubtle.

  • 2'

Early indictions suggest that Samuel Eto'o is playing through the centre, as indeed he should. That's a good move from Paul Le Guen as it didn't work against Japan.

  • 1'

An early chance for Cameroon as Webo pulls the ball back and Denmark fail to clear, allowing Benoit Assou-Ekotto to fire in a shot that is blocked.

  • 1'

Remember, if Cameroon lose then they are out. If the game ends in a Denmark win or draw, then Netherlands qualify.

Interestingly, Cameroon have never scored in the opening 30 minutes of a World Cup game, so don't expect a quick start tonight.

The teams are emerging from the tunnel, and we are minutes from kick-off.

Cameroon have won only one of their past 11 games in the World Cup. In fact they have won just once since that famous quarter-final appearance in 1990. A tall order then?

The coach has made three changes to his side with Geremi, Alex Song and Achille Emana coming in. Hopefully that means we will be seeing Samuel Eto'o in a central position, after he was exiled to right midfield in the opening defeat to Japan.

That scenario will also see Cameroon eliminated, so it is a critical game for Le Guen's men.

With Netherlands defeating Japan 1-0 earlier today, Bert van Marwijk's side will qualify for the last 16 if this game ends with a draw or Denmark win.
