Monaco keeper: Falcao deal almost done

Monaco goalkeeper Danijel Subasic has revealed Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao is almost certain to join the Ligue 1-bound club, claiming a deal is "90 per cent" done.

Falcao has scored 28 league goals for Atletico this season

Falcao, 27, has been linked with a move to Chelsea, Real Madrid and Monaco in the summer but is expected to join the wealthy Ligue 2 leaders, who have been boosted with funds by billionaire Russian owner Dmitry Rybolovlev.

It is reported that Monaco will pay in excess of £50m for the Colombia international and Subasic insists a deal is imminent, claiming a number of big names will join the club next season.

"I will tell you what I have heard, and that is that Falcao is 90 per cent at Monaco," he told Sportske Novosti. "For sure, it is what they have told us, with only a small possibility that Monaco could only lose him if Real Madrid were to come in, but that is now unlikely.

"If he does not leave for the Bernabeu, he will come to Monaco. Securing promotion to Ligue 1 is said to be only the beginning. The club’s plan is to sign five or six of the best players they can."
