PSG wish Alex well at AC Milan
Paris Saint-Germain have thanked defender Alex for his contribution to the club, wishing him luck at AC Milan.
Alex, 31, was PSG coach Laurent Blanc's partner of choice for Thiago Silva last season, but was likely to have been relegated to a backup role next time around following the arrival of David Luiz at the Parc des Princes.
And with the two-and-a-half year contract the Brazil international signed when he joined from Chelsea in January 2012 expiring this month, he opted to sign a two-year deal with the Rossoneri.
After his contribution to PSG's successful Ligue 1 title defence and their Coupe de la Ligue triumph last season, the French champions wrote on their official website: "Paris Saint-Germain wishes to thank the Brazilian international for his professionalism throughout his spell in red and blue, and hope he obtains as much success in this new challenge."
