AC Ajaccio v Stade de Reims: Preview
Ajaccio captain Mehdi Mostefa is desperate to give his team's supporters something to smile about in their final home game in the top flight.
The Corsicans are already relegated to Ligue 2, having won only three of their 36 league games to date. They are bottom of the table, nine points behind second-bottom Valenciennes.
There has not been much for supporters to get excited about, but Mostefa hopes the team can provide a final flourish against Reims.
``This is an opportunity to offer a last victory to our supporters,'' Mostefa told Ajaccio's official website.
``They have always been there to support us.''
Ajaccio coach Christian Bracconi echoed those sentiments, and told corsenetinfos.fr: ``There is an obligation to finish well at home. There will be players who wearing the jersey of ACA for the last time at home.
``There are no words to introduce this game, but we must return some honour to the team. Everyone must do his duty with regards to the people who support us.''
Bracconi believes Saturday's opponents are a team that his group should try to emulate.
``Reims is a team that has had a great season,'' he added.
``We must take their example, they have built a team of solidarity, with a big collective potential, building on the spirit of the club. This is also something we should be guided by in the future.''
Reims are eighth, but have not won away since a success at Guingamp on February 8.
