AC Ajaccio v Toulouse: Preview

European qualification could be on the cards for Toulouse this season, but coach Alain Casanova's only focus is on beating Ajaccio on Saturday.

TFC head to Corsica just five points off fifth-placed Lyon and three places worse off.

However, the fact Les Gones still have to face Toulouse at the Stade Municipal before the season is out means there is a growing belief that a Europa League berth is within their grasp.

Casanova says talk of Europe is not a ``taboo'' subject, but insisted focusing on the next league match is always the priority for him.

``Not until the end of the season (will I talk about Europe),'' he said on www.alleztfc.com.

``I will give the same goal every week to the players - win the game on Saturday. Then we'll see how we end up.

``My players are big enough and they know their obligations. Every Ligue 1 match is difficult and I do not want to ask them to finish in a particular place, which could put them under the wrong pressure.''

Toulouse are overwhelming favourites to beat an Ajaccio side all-but certain to face the drop.

Casanova, though, will not let his men get complacent, pointing to last weekend's 1-1 home draw with 17th-placed Evian.

``People thought we were going to make short work of Evian but a football match, especially in Ligue 1, is always difficult,'' he said.

``Nobody wants to drop points in the last eight games. You might think Ajaccio would be coasting, but instead they want to finish well.

``We then face the likes of Lille, who wants a podium finish, and Sochaux, who want to escape. Our end of season is difficult. Everything depends on us.''

Dennis Oliech, Johan Cavalli and Denis Tonucci will be missing for Ajaccio on Saturday, as will Iiuri Iakovenko, Ronald Zubar and Claude Dielna.
