Monaco striker Radamel Falcao could make his long-awaited return to action at home to Valenciennes on Friday after recovering from a thigh injury.
The Colombia international, 27, has missed the club's last four league matches with the problem, which Monaco said he suffered while on international duty last month.
Several reports in the French media had speculated that the injury was a smokescreen for behind-the-scenes negotiations between the club and Falcao, who has been strongly linked with a January move.
Real Madrid are believed to be heading the queue for his services, but Monaco have dismissed speculation that he could leave.
However, Falcao last week insisted he and his family were happy in the principality, where he signed a five-year contract last summer.
The striker took part in training on Wednesday, and manager Claudio Ranieri told a news conference: "Falcao has trained normally this morning. He has recovered well, but he had not trained for a month."
