Metz clinched a thriller to advance in the Coupe de la Ligue as they beat Nice 3-2 on penalties after both sides could not be separated at 3-3 after extra-time at the Allianz Riviera.

Video challenges may be on the horizon for football, but is the ESPN FC crew on board with it?

French Football League president Frederic Thiriez has put forward the Coupe de la Ligue as a potential testing ground for Sepp Blatter's video technology plans.
