Bastia accuse French League president Frederic Thiriez of racism

PSG head coach Laurent Blanc hailed his side's 4-0 win in the Coupe de la Ligue final.

Bastia have accused French Football League (LFP) president Frederic Thiriez of being "an anti-Corsican racist" and called for him to resign after being infuriated by his actions at Saturday's Coupe de la Ligue final.

Bastia were beaten 4-0 by Paris Saint-Germain, but the Corsican club were left even more angry by the actions of Thiriez, who decided to cancel the habitual prematch protocol when he would normally be introduced to both sets of players.

PSG head coach Laurent Blanc hailed his side's 4-0 win in the Coupe de la Ligue final.

Paris Saint-Germain secured their fifth Coupe de la Ligue title with a 4-0 win over the 10-man SC Bastia at Stade de France on Saturday.

Laurent Blanc's players successfully defended their crown thanks to two Zlatan Ibrahimovic goals and another brace from substitute Edinson Cavani. The success means that PSG are only the second team to defend their League Cup title and it also forms one part of what could ultimately become a domestic treble by the end of the season.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edinson Cavani both scored twice as Paris Saint-Germain retained their Coupe de la Ligue crown with a 4-0 victory over 10-man Bastia at the Stade de France on Saturday.
