A Qatari princess is set to join the hierarchy of French fourth-division amateur club Martigues.
Kasia Al Thani, who is married to one of the sons of the Emir of Qatar, is to take a position at the club in the summer.
According to the club, Al Thani is a friend of club president Baptiste Giabconi, an actor, model and singer.

"Princess Al Thani watched a behind-closed-doors game between the first team and the reserves," a club statement read.
"After visiting the club's infrastructure and having a boat trip in Provencale Venice, the princess clearly accepted to commit herself to President Giabconi's promising and solid project."
Giabconi, 27, a former contestant on France's version of Strictly Come Dancing, has stated his ambition of getting the south coast club into Ligue 2 by 2022.
