Kylian Mbappe's maturity praised by France captain Hugo Lloris

France captain Hugo Lloris has backed Kylian Mbappe to have a "great career" and says he has been impressed with how the Monaco teenager has been able to stay grounded.

Mbappe, 18, has caught the eye this season after scoring 19 goals for Monaco, with sources telling ESPN FC that Manchester United are among a number of Europe's top clubs interested in signing him this summer.

The forward's impressive form has been rewarded with a maiden France call-up, and his new international teammate Lloris says the youngster seems to be taking everything in his stride.

"He is being talked about everywhere, even in England," Lloris said. "His performances made a lot of noise, but I find him quite detached and serene in relation to all of that.

"He shows great maturity at his young age. It is true that what he does in Monaco is quite impressive. It's a good sign for the future.

"If he continues to work and get involved for the team, he has all the qualities to make a great career."

Mbappe will be hoping to make his debut for France when they take on Luxembourg in a World Cup qualifier on Saturday.
