Brazilian giants Flamengo have unveiled Peru international striker Paolo Guerrero at their Rio de Janeiro headquarters on Tuesday.
Guerrero, who became the first player to finish top scorer in consecutive Copa America tournaments since 1923-24, agreed to a deal with the Gavea club before heading to Chile for the CONMEBOL showpiece.
Guerrero is seen as a transformational signing for Flamengo, who, after years of austerity and debt management, hired the Peruvian from Corinthians, for which he scored the winning goal in the Sao Paulo giants' Club World Cup title over Chelsea in 2012.

Speaking to gathered media on Tuesday, the 2014 Brazilian player of the year expressed pride in wearing the shirt of Brazil's biggest club, which boasts of more than 30 million fans throughout country.
"I know Flamengo has a lot of history not only in Brazilian football, but they are known internationally. They have the most fans, I think, in the world. It's the biggest in the world. I saw a study that Flamengo was in first place. It gives me pride to defend a team so big, to represent the Flamengo shirt," the former Bayern Munich man said.
"I'm happy to belong to a club as big as Flamengo. In Germany, I was at Bayern, which also is one of the world's biggest. Flamengo is one of the greatest in the world, I think they have more fans than Bayern. I'm happy to be here."
Guerrero, 31, trained with the team on Tuesday and will make his Flamengo debut in Wednesday's match against Copa Libertadores semifinalists Internacional in Porto Alegre.
