That was the second-highest total of in-game tweets for the entire World Cup, second only Brazil's 3-1 opening win over Croatia. Over 12.2 million tweets were sent during that match. The FIFA Man of the Match was the most mentioned athlete of the match with over two million tweets referencing him and he graced the covers of Europe's major football media outlets

Kobe Bryant, injured Colombian striker Radamel Falcao, singer Thalia and Mike Trout all singled Ochoa out via social media.

Brazil striker Fred said Ochoa had performed "four miracles" and Ochoa himself said "it was the game of my life."

Ochoa also took to Twitter to thank his fans.

Former player agent Josep Maria Minguella told ESPN Deportes that Barcelona mentioned the name of the former Ajaccio goalkeeper, who is currently a free agent, three weeks ago.

"They told me his name, they talked about him and the counseled me and all I did was mention him to Barca," said Minguella. "That is what I have always done. When I see there is a good opportunity, I will bring him to the club."

Barcelona is rumoured to be keen on Real Sociedad keeper Claudio Bravo. The source told ESPN Deportes that one match doesn't change the club's planning.
