Spain squad worth €622m - report

World and European champions Spain are to compete at the 2014 World Cup with a squad worth 622 million euros ($843M), according to transfermarkt.

A report by transfermarkt has calculated the total value of the 786 players taking part at the tournament in Brazil at 6.2 billion ($8.4B) euros.

Spain's squad is the most expensive at the World Cup, with Honduras' the lowest value at 21.15 million euros.

Time magazine reports that transfermarkt determine player market value "by many factors like individual and club team performance, international experience, contract history and age."

Lionel Messi is considered to be worth 120 million euros while Cristiano Ronaldo is worth 100 million euros.

Germany have the second most expensive squad at 562 million euros, with Brazil third at 467.5 million euros.

United States' side is valued at 57.8 million euros ($85.1 million) while England's squad is considered to be worth 334 million euros (268 million pounds).
