Fernandinho has told Manchester City's official website it is "a dream come true" as he prepares to play in a World Cup on home soil and said his target is to end a wonderful season as part of the sixth Brazil team to be crowned the finest on the planet.

The City midfielder ended a two-year absence from the Selecao squad by making a goalscoring return against South Africa in March to earn a place in Luiz Felipe Scolari's 23-man party.
And the 29-year-old, who left Shakhtar Donetsk last summer in part because he felt his chances of playing in the World Cup would increase if he played in a higher-profile league, is now aiming to cap his recall by helping his country triumph.
"In the next couple of months maybe I can be champion of the world, I hope," he told City's official website.
"I am very excited. To play a World Cup for me was always a dream and now I get a chance to play at home, in my country. A lot of players want to play in this World Cup but we have just 23 players and we are lucky guys, to play for Brazil in a World Cup and with the chance to be champions for the sixth time."
Fernandinho helped City win the Premier League and the Capital One Cup in his debut season at the Etihad Stadium and added: "My dream has come true after a good year. It is my target to be a champion but we need to keep calm and do a very good job."
Brazil, who have been drawn with Croatia, Cameroon and Mexico, kick off their campaign against Niko Kovac's side on Thursday with Fernandinho predicting a tough game.
He said: "Brazil need to be careful of Croatia. Always the first game is difficult because the pressure is so high.
"The World Cup groups are always difficult but I think Brazil is favourite in that group and we need to play very good football to get the results.
"After that in [the knockout stages], you get a chance to play against big teams [like] Spain, Netherlands and Argentina and I think the group will be a very good chance to show a good football and good performance. After that the trust of the team will be high."
Fernandinho, who has only won seven caps, savours the memories of his March performance against South Africa.
He said: "It was very good. To play for Brazil is always a pleasure and so good and that time I score my first goal for Brazil. I cannot explain the feeling. It was a beautiful goal as well. For me it was a special day and a special game."
