Thiago Silva fears threat of Eto'o

Thiago Silva has picked out Samuel Eto'o as the striker who "worries me the most" ahead of the World Cup finals.

Silva, 29, will lead hosts Brazil in the tournament's curtain raiser against Croatia on June 12. However, it is the Selecao's final Group A encounter against Cameroon which the Paris Saint-Germain centre-back is most concerned about.

Following their duels in Serie A, when they played on either side of the Milan divide, Silva is fully aware he will need to be on his guard throughout his on-pitch reunion with the 33-year-old Eto'o in Brasilia.

"We met when he played for Inter and I for AC Milan, and I was able to see his qualities," Silva explained to RMC. "He's an experienced player, special, who is coming here in great form. He's a player with impressive technical quality. He's a killer in tight spaces. That's why he's the striker who worries me the most."
