Bale, 24, scored the crucial second goal for Los Blancos in extra time which allowed his side to go on to win 4-1 against city rivals Atletico and secure the club's 10th European Cup in Saturday's final at Lisbon's Estadio da Luz.

However, he has withdrawn from the group Chris Coleman is taking to Amsterdam for the match on Wednesday, June 4.

"Gareth Bale has withdrawn from the Welsh squad to travel to Amsterdam to face the Netherlands in a friendly international next week," said a statement from the Football Association of Wales.

"Bale, who scored for Real in Saturday's Champions League final win against Atletico, has been troubled with a leg muscle injury for a few weeks.

"His place in the squad will be taken by Fulham's George Williams."
