• Hernandez: Those who missed the cut The seven on the reserve list include Muñoz, Juan Carlos "Topo" Valenzuela (América), Miguel Herrera (Pachuca), Miguel Ponce (Toluca), Javier Aquino (Villarreal), Jesús Alonso Escoboza (Santos) and Aldo de Nigris (Chivas). Herrera said on Monday he does not expect any of the seven to be included on the 23-man roster and only provided their names to FIFA as a formality. "FIFA mandates that we provide a list of 30 players," Herrera said. "We have already talked to these event. They will not form part of training camp nor will they work with us. Ricardo Pelaez, the national team's sports director, said the players would be used only in the event that someone on the 23-man roster were to be injured. Herrera had four choices at goalkeeper and opted to leave out Munoz in favour of Alfredo Talavera while including Cruz Azul goalkeeper Jesus Corona and Ajaccio's Guillermo Ochoa. #INSERT
