Alves set for Fenerbahce switch

Fenerbahce have had an offer accepted by Zenit St Petersburg for defender Bruno Alves.

Bruno Alves has 55 caps for Portugal
Bruno Alves still has to agree personal terms with Fenerbahce

Alves, 31, joined Zenit from Porto for €22 million in 2010, but now looks set for a move to Turkey.

The Instanbul club released a statement confirming the deal on Wednesday, adding that personal terms with the Portugal international still need to be agreed. No transfer fee has been disclosed, however.

The statement read: "We have reached an agreement with Zenit St Petersburg over the player Bruno Alves. Talks with Alves over personal terms are ongoing."

Alves, who has won 63 caps for his country, has also had spells at Farense, Vitoria Guimaraes and AEK Athens.
