Everton wait to announce Besic deal

Muhamed Besic impressed this summer in Brazil.

Bosnia and Herzegovina international Muhamed Besic will be presented as an Everton player when the team return from Thailand next week.

The Blues take on Premier League newcomers Leicester City at the Supachalasai Stadium on Sunday with the 21-year-old defensive midfielder travelling with the squad to Bangkok but, according to the Everton website he "will not feature in the game as he continues to build up his fitness levels following his return from this summer's World Cup."

Manager Roberto Martinez told the site: "The next few days will allow Mo to meet the players, but more importantly it is an opportunity for him to get into optimum condition ahead of the new season.

"I am looking forward to introducing him to the Everton fans when we come back but first I would like to thank Ferencváros for the way in which they have approached the negotiations. They have been very understanding at this point and we have enjoyed a good working relationship."
