England's style should suit us - Slovakia midfielder Patrik Hrosovsky

Slovakia midfielder Patrik Hrosovsky has told ESPN FC that his side have nothing to fear against England in Group B on Monday.

Hrosovsky, 24, broke into national team in November 2014 against Finland in a 3-1 friendly win and has had a fine season as he won Czech league with Viktoria Plzen.

Now Slovakia can qualify if they beat England, or can guarantee at least third spot with a draw. But the midfielder is not worried by what he has seen from the Three Lions so far.

"They clearly won their qualifying group and it is a very hard opponent," he told ESPN FC in an exclusive interview. "However, I think that their playing style could suit us. We have to particularly defend very well and to try to get into fast counter-attacks."

Hrosovsky's great performances in the Czech league over the past few years -- he was named Young Player of the Season in 2013-14 -- were spotted by coach Jan Kozak, who included him in his squad for the Euros.

"From the very beginnings, I had very nice feelings about our coach Kozak," he added. "Before my first match, he stressed to me, first at all, to believe in my own skills on the pitch. I am not a kind of player who would suffer due to some nervousness. Hence, I did not have such feelings before my first international match. I was rather very pleased that I would play.

"After I arrived in the national team for the first time, I might have been a little surprised by a quality of its players. Immediately, I was with the players who I had had an opportunity to see only on TV before. It was a really amazing achievement to train and to be on the same pitch with them."

Slovakia have already proved that they are able to beat stronger opponents -- they won against Spain (2-1) and Ukraine (1-0) in the qualifiers, while at the end of May, they beat world champions Germany, with Hrosovsky putting in a fine performance.

"Our coach was very satisfied with the result," he added. "Beating actual World Cup winners is a thing that it is possible to achieve maybe one time in your career. However, he did not overestimate the result, as the really important fixtures are in France."

Hrosovsky's outstanding passing ability, ball control and technical skills have seen him attract a lot of interest from clubs in Western Europe.

Rapid Vienna's sporting director Andreas Mueller admitted in a recent interview with Kurier that they have already offered about €2 million for him, but Viktoria Plzen are holding out for more. Indeed, Plzen's general director Adolf Sadek compared his transfer value to Vladimir Darida, who left for Freiburg three years ago for around twice that amount.

Sources have told ESPN FC that Premier League clubs West Brom and Hull City are both interested and are watching him at Euro 2016, while Hamburg and Palermo are also reported to be tracking his performances.

"My dream is to play in some big foreign league," Hrosovsky said. "I am regularly in touch with my agent [Thomas Boehm, also the agent of Leicester defender Christian Fuchs], but we both agree that it is best to keep these things in the background until the end of the Euros.

"First of all, I want to prepare for the Euros to get as far as possible with my country. We will see what happens afterwards."
