Little-used Arsenal striker Lukas Podolski hopes to remain in the German national team picture.
Galatasaray are keen to sign Lukas Podolski this summer.

Germany boss Joachim Low has told Arsenal forward Lukas Podolski he needs to be playing regularly as he considers a transfer to Galatasaray.

Podolski spent the second half of last season on loan at Inter Milan and, although he has said he is open to remaining at the Emirates Stadium, he would likely find himself down the pecking order at the Premier League club.

Galatasaray have already confirmed their interest in the 30-year-old, while Podolski told NTV Sport: "If an offer comes from Turkey, I...

Arsenal shareholder Usmanov said in February that he had loaned the RFU 400 million roubles after the Russia boss went without pay for over six months.

The billionaire said he has now made a further loan to ensure Capello, who signed a lucrative contract extension in January 2014, receives the money he is owed.

Russia fans have started a crowdfunding bid to raise the funds required to sack Fabio Capello.

The Russian Football Union (RFU) is considering whether to sack Capello after a 1-0 loss to Austria seriously dented the team's hopes of qualifying for Euro 2016.

Sports Minister Vitaly Mutko has said Capello could be fired this month after Russia won just two of their last 10 games, but the former England boss was handed a lucrative contract extension in January 2014 that tied him to the nation until...

Euro 2016 beckons for Iceland, Wales and several other smaller nations

Relive the top five goals from Matchday 6 of the Euro 2016 Qualifiers, highlighted by Marc Janko's acrobatic finish.
Relive all the best moments of Matchday 6 in the 2016 European Qualifies including Gareth Bale's game-winning strike, and Cristiano Ronaldo's hat trick.

If you want to raise a warm smile in chilly Iceland, mention the form of their national football team. The country with a population of just 300,000 has never qualified for a major tournament, yet they're much improved and now stand on the brink of history.

When the Swedish coach Lars Lagerback, who led his own country to five successive major tournaments between 2000 and 2008, became Iceland's joint-manager in 2010, they were lower than Liechtenstein in FIFA's rankings.

Just four years later, they...
