Ex-France boss Raymond Domenech keen on Ireland job

Domenech led France to the 2006 World Cup final
Raymond Domenech had a mixed spell in France.

Former France boss Raymond Domenech has revealed he dreams of becoming coach of the Republic of Ireland.

Domenech, 63, guided France to the 2006 World Cup final but has been out of football since his six-year tenure in charge of Les Bleus ended following the catastrophic 2010 World Cup when they finished bottom of Group A behind Uruguay, Mexico and hosts South Africa without winning a game.

John Terry rules out England return despite national anthem emotion

Chelsea captain John Terry spoke after scoring his first goal in a major final to help his side to win the Capital One Cup.

John Terry has ruled out coming out of international retirement to represent England despite admitting to getting emotional when hearing the national anthem at Wembley on Sunday.

Terry captained Chelsea to Capital One Cup glory against Tottenham, scoring the opening goal in a 2-0 win that secured manager Jose Mourinho's first trophy since his return to the club.

Terry, 34, retired from international duty in 2012 but despite his recent form and the effect the national anthem had on him prior to the...

Arjen Robben wants to play alongside Bas Dost for Netherlands

The ESPN FC crew compare Arjen Robben's remarkable season to the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

Bayern Munch winger Arjen Robben hopes he can strike up a partnership with Wolfsburg's in-form Bas Dost for Netherlands.

Robben and Dost have both set their sights on this season's Bundesliga top-scorer prize -- the Torjagerkanone -- with the former having scored 16 goals and the latter hitting 11.

Dost's nine goals in his last five games have brought him to the attention of Netherlands coach Guus Hiddink, with the striker saying earlier this week that an international call-up would be "a dream."

England not winning Euro 2016 would be a failure, says Harry Redknapp

There is plenty of urgency for Harry Redknapp's QPR to collect points before they begin a stretch of matches against the Prem's top teams.
Harry Redknapp parted company with QPR earlier this month.

England should "give up" if they do not win Euro 2016, according to former Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp.

Redknapp believes Roy Hodgson will have sufficient talent at his disposal to claim glory at the tournament in France.

With the likes of Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane scoring 23 goals in all competitions this season and Liverpool duo Raheem Sterling and Daniel Sturridge key players for their club, Redknapp said it would be a failure for the team to not at least reach the last...
