Premier League Boxing Day team news: Injuries and suspensions update

BOXING DAY'S GAMES

TOTTENHAM VS. SOUTHAMPTON

TOTTENHAM: Mauricio Pochettino must decide whether to shuffle his pack with less than 72 hours between matches. One player certain to start is Harry Kane as he chases the one goal he needs to set a new Premier League era scoring record for a single year. Toby Alderweireld (hamstring) and Victor Wanyama (knee) both remain sidelined.

Provisional squad: Lloris, Vorm, Gazzaniga, Rose, Davies, Walker-Peters, Vertonghen, Sanchez, Dier, Foyth, Trippier, Aurier, Winks, Amos, Sissoko, Dembele, Alli, Eriksen, Son, Lamela, Llorente, Sterling, Kane.

SOUTHAMPTON: Southampton will be without forward Charlie Austin. The 28-year-old, who was also charged by the Football Association with violent conduct against Huddersfield, suffered a hamstring injury in the 1-1 draw. Ryan Bertrand (hamstring) and Cedric Soares (ankle) are both doubts for Mauricio Pellegrino's side.

Provisional squad: Forster, McCarthy, Taylor, Hoedt, Stephens, Yoshida, Van Dijk, Gardos, Pied, McQueen, Romeu, Lemina, Hojbjerg, Ward-Prowse, Davis, Boufal, Tadic, Redmond, Long, Gabbiadini.

BOURNEMOUTH VS. WEST HAM

BOURNEMOUTH: Junior Stanislas has joined Bournemouth's growing injury list. Stanislas limped out of the 4-0 defeat to Manchester City with a sore hamstring and will not feature. Cherries boss Eddie Howe is hoping for good news from the treatment room, with Jermain Defoe (ankle), Harry Arter (calf), Charlie Daniels (groin), Joshua King (hamstring), Brad Smith (hip), Adam Federici and Tyrone Mings (both back) all struggling.

Provisional squad: Begovic, Boruc, Ramsdale, S Cook, Francis, Simpson, Ake, A Smith, Daniels, Surman, L Cook, Fraser, Gosling, Pugh, Hyndman, Ibe, King, Afobe, Wilson, Mahoney, Mousset.

WEST HAM: Manuel Lanzini is back in the West Ham squad after completing a two-match ban after he was retrospectively charged for diving. Skipper Mark Noble could miss out again with a tight hamstring and defender Jose Fonte remains sidelined due to an ankle injury.

Provisional squad: Lossl, Coleman, Malone, Cranie, Schindler, Jorgensen, Hadergjonaj, Smith, Lowe, Williams, Whitehead, Mooy, Ince, Van La Parra, Palmer, Quaner, Depoitre, Moun

STOKE: The Potters are likely to have an unchanged squad. Erik Pieters remains a major doubt with the injury that forced him off against West Ham and subsequently saw the full-back miss the home win over West Brom on Saturday.
