Transfer Rater: Boateng to Manchester United

Football Whispers

Anthony Martial, Ashley Young and Jesse Lingard start for Man United

Ryan Giggs understands desires to see a free-scoring Man United team, but expects them to score plenty of goals this season.

Jose Mourinho has handed recalls to Anthony Martial, Ashley Young and Jesse Lingard for Manchester United's trip to Huddersfield while Henrikh Mkhitaryan has dropped to the bench.

Mourinho makes four changes to the team that beat Benfica 1-0 in the Champions League on Wednesday with Mkhitaryan, Victor Lindelof, Daley Blind and Marcus Rashford missing out.

Phil Jones is back in the team after watching from the bench in Lisbon.

Luke Shaw has not been included in the squad.

Jones starts in defence along with Young, Antonio Valencia and Chris Smalling.

Ander Herrera and Nemanja Matic continue in midfield with injuried still ruling out Marouane Fellaini and Paul Pogba.

Romelu Lukaku starts up front with Martial and Juan Mata.

United are looking to maintain their unbeaten start to the season at the John Smith's Stadium. A clean sheet would make it eight from the first nine games -- a top-flight record.

Huddersfield striker Steve Mounie was passed fit but starts the game on the bench, while Philip Billing, Collin Quaner, Jon Gorenc Stankovic, Michael Hefele and Kasey Palmer were all ruled out through injury.

Huddersfield starting XI: Lossl, Lowe, Schindler, Zanka, Smith, Hogg, Williams, Ince, Mooy, Kachunga, Depoitre.

Huddersfield substitutes:Coleman, Malone, Sabiri, Cranie, Van La Parra, Mounie, Hadergjonaj.

Manchester United starting XI: De Gea, Valencia, Jones, Smalling, Young, Herrera, Matic, Mata, Lingard, Martial, Lukaku.

Manchester United substitutes: Romero, Blind, Darmian, Lindelof, McTominay, Mkhitaryan, Rashford.
