Axel Tuanzebe and Wayne Rooney start for Manchester United at Arsenal

Axel Tuanzebe has been handed his full Manchester United debut for the Premier League clash at Arsenal on Sunday.

The defender, 19, is in Jose Mourinho's starting XI at the Emirates as United chase a spot in the top four.

He has one first team appearance to his name after coming on as a late substitute against Wigan in the FA Cup in January.

With a Europa League semifinal second leg against Celta Vigo to come on Thursday, Mourinho promised to make changes to his team against Arsenal.

David De Gea returns in goal after Sergio Romero started against Celta last week while Juan Mata makes his first appearance since recovering from a groin injury.

Phil Jones and Chris Smalling have been paired at centre-back after recovering from toe and knee injuries, respectively.

There are also starts for Michael Carrick, Wayne Rooney and Anthony Martial, who were all on the bench in Spain on Thursday.

Matteo Darmian, Andrea Herrera and Henrikh Mkhitaryan are the only three to keep their places.

Eric Bailly, Daley Blind, Jesse Lingard, Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford have all been named on the bench.

Youngster Scott McTominay is also among the substitutes after being involved in a matchday squad for the first time against Swansea last weekend.

For Arsenal, former United striker Danny Welbeck starts in a frontline that also includes Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil as Arsene Wenger keeps faith with his 3-4-3 formation.

Man United XI: De Gea, Tuanzebe, Darmian, Jones, Smalling, Carrick, Herrera, Mata, Rooney, Mkhitaryan, Martial.

Arsenal XI: Cech, Holding, Koscielny, Monreal, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Ramsey, Xhaka, Gibbs, Ozil, Alexis, Welbeck.
