Man United secure late draw with Everton, Leicester in sixth straight win

Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored a last-minute penalty to salvage a 1-1 draw for Manchester United against Everton at Old Trafford.

Everton took the lead in the 22nd minute, with Ashley Williams heading the ball on following a corner to find Phil Jagielka, who showed strength to fight off Marcos Rojo, get a leg on the ball and send it through David De Gea's legs.

United thought they had equalised in the 71st minute from Ibrahimovic's diving header, but the goal was ruled out for offside, which replays showed to be a very tight decision.

But they did manage to find an equaliser deep into stoppage time when Ibrahimovic stepped up to convert a penalty after Williams had been shown a red card for handling Luke Shaw's strike, which was set to hit the target.

Leicester secured a sixth successive win under Craig Shakespeare as they beat Sunderland 2-0 at the King Power Stadium to move up to 10th in the table.

Leicester went the closest to breaking the deadlock in the first half, with Demarai Gray cutting inside before seeing a curled effort from distance tipped around the post by Jordan Pickford.

But the home side did find the breakthrough in the 69th minute when Islam Slimani headed home a Marc Albrighton cross into the corner of the net.

Jamie Vardy made sure of the result 12 minutes from the end, firing into the top corner after being picked out by Albrighton to net his sixth goal in seven games for his club.

Burnley secured their first win since January with a 1-0 victory over Stoke at Turf Moor.

Stoke had the best chance to take the lead in the first half when Charlie Adam beat two players on the edge of the box before unleashing a strike at goal that was saved by Tom Heaton.

But it was Burnley who edged ahead after 58 minutes through George Boyd, who poked home after being teed up by Jeff Hendrick to secure the three points for the home side.

Watford moved up to ninth in the table with a 2-0 victory over West Bromwich Albion at Vicarage Road.

M'Baye Niang opened the scoring for Watford after 13 minutes, picking up the ball from Troy Deeney before cutting inside and bending a strike into the far corner.

And the roles were reversed for the second goal shortly after the restart with Niang this time turning provider, picking out Deeney who was able to finish past Ben Foster to extend the hosts' lead.

Watford lost Miguel Britos to a red card in the 65th minute for a foul on Salomon Rondon, but the 10 men managed to hold out for the victory.
