Man Utd and Arsenal draw, Harry Kane rallies Spurs late, Yaya Toure brace

Arsene Wenger's inability to beat Jose Mourinho in a competitive game continued at Old Trafford on Saturday, though his Arsenal side secured a 1-1 draw against Manchester United thanks to a late equaliser from Olivier Giroud.

Wenger had failed to record a single victory over Mourinho in 13 previous competitive matches and while that run was extended to 14, the Frenchman will have been the happier of the two managers after seeing Giroud cancel out Juan Mata's opener with an 89th-minute header.

Mata broke the deadlock in the 68th minute, finishing excellently into the far corner after Herrera had done well to tee him up inside the box.

But Gunners substitutes Giroud and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain combined at the death, with the former heading home the latter's delivery to rescue a point for his side.

Harry Kane scored a brace in the dying minutes as Tottenham Hotspur came from behind to defeat West Ham 3-2 at White Hart Lane.

The Hammers opened the scoring when Michail Antonio headed home from close range after Cheikhou Kouyate had hit the bar in the build-up, but Tottenham were level after the restart through Harry Winks, who slotted home from close range on his first Premier League start.

Manuel Lanzini fired the visitors back in front in the 68th minute, converting from the penalty spot after Janssen had hauled down Winston Reid inside the area.

However, Kane found an equaliser in the 89th minute, tapping in from two yards out after Darren Randolph had palmed the ball into his path, before scoring the winner two minutes later -- firing in from the spot after Son Heung-Min had been brought down by Havard Nordtveit. West Ham's misery was compounded when Reid picked up a second yellow card deep into injury time.

Yaya Toure scored a brace on his return to the City side as they beat Crystal Palace 2-1 at Selhurst Park.

It was bad news for City after 37 minutes when Vincent Kompany was forced off injured following a collision with Claudio Bravo.

However, just two minutes later the visitors found themselves in front after Toure fired into the roof of the net on his first Premier League appearance of the season following a one-two with Nolito.

Palace found themselves on level terms inside the 66th minute with Connor Wickham finding the back of the net after being played in by Wilfried Zaha, but Toure had the last word, connecting with Kevin De Bruyne's cross at the near post with seven minutes left on the clock to give City the win.

Liverpool kept their place at the top of the Premier League table despite only managing a 0-0 draw with Southampton at St Mary's.

The Reds went the closest to scoring in the first half with Sadio Mane firing a strike on target, only for Fraser Forster to palm the ball away with a good save.

Jurgen Klopp's men continued to push for a goal after the break with Roberto Firmino wasting their best chance, but the home side were able to hold firm.

Despite the result, Liverpool remain at the top of the standings, sitting ahead of Manchester City on virtue of having scored three more goals than them this season.

Swansea City were denied a first victory under Bob Bradley as Seamus Coleman scored a last-minute equaliser for Everton in a 1-1 draw at Goodison Park.

The Swans edged ahead shortly before half-time with Gylfi Sigurdsson slotting home a penalty after he had been brought down in the area by Phil Jagielka.

However, with the visitors looking set for all three points, they were pegged back by Everton as Coleman sent a looping header over Lukasz Fabianski.

Watford scored two goals inside the game's opening 12 minutes to beat champions Leicester City 2-1 at Vicarage Road.

Etienne Capoue volleyed home inside the first minute for Watford after being teed up by Troy Deeney, with Roberto Pereyra then doubling their lead shortly after, bending a strike into the far corner.

Leicester pulled one back a few minutes later as Riyad Mahrez converted from the penalty spot after Jamie Vardy had been fouled in the box by Miguel Britos, but the Foxes were unable to find an equaliser.

Sunderland made it two wins on the bounce as they defeated Hull City 3-0 at the Stadium of Light to move off the bottom of the table.

Defoe put Sunderland on their way when he drilled into the bottom corner after racing past the opposition defence to net his 150th Premier League goal.

The start of the second half was delayed due to a floodlight failure, but Victor Anichebe went on to score a brace once play resumed to secure the win for Sunderland, who also lost Papy Djilobodji to a late red card.

Nathan Ake scored the winner as Bournemouth beat Stoke City 1-0 at the bet365 Stadium.

Ake opened the scoring for the Cherries inside 26 minutes, nodding in a Junior Stanislas delivery.

Stoke had the chance to pull level immediately after the restart, having won a penalty when Bojan Krkic was hauled down by Simon Francis, but the Spaniard smashed his effort against the crossbar.
